Very very poor service Phoned to ask what to do with the dead tree we bought last spring. They told us to bring it back with the receipt.Due to a late spring, brought the tree back 2 weeks after the year. We thought to give the tree the benefit of doubt that it would still come back ......it did not. They were very rude and would not honor their warranty.We will never shop there again!

I have purchased over 300 trees, all the trees I have purchased have been exceptionally cared for. Excellent quality trees. I have also purchased shrubs and bark chips. Exceptional service I have received from David and all the girls in the yard. David has always arranged delivery of all my trees. Service with a smile. David arranged all my trees to be planted by Jonathan at Scenic Landscaping, I would never have anyone but Jonathan plant my trees. Exceptions service from Jonathan and his crew. Highly recommend Coladale Nursuries and Scenic Landscaping.

Exceptionally difficult to do business with and poor customer service. For a season landscape/nursery you would expect during peak hours they would be available. No one is available to load product on weekends (closed Sunday and no one to load on Saturday) when the majority of working customers do their landscaping. They are only able to work with product in 1/2 or full yards so if you need a bucket of sand for a child’s sand table skip this place. Very inconvenient and surprise they are still in business with so many other options in and around Lethbridge.

I usually don't write posts unless there is a very good reason. Today I have a very good reason. At the end of July, last year, we came to Coaldale Nurseries as we were landscaping a new yard. We spent close to $500.00, supporting local business. We wanted their expert advice on what trees were good for our particular location. We were given some strong suggestions, and went with what we felt would be the best option, knowing that Coaldale Nurseries has a great warranty. Little did we realize they do not honour that warranty. Today we returned a second tree that is half dead, and continuing to die, even though we have fertilized it, protected it over the winter, and taken all their advice. We were told that since there was still some 'green' on the tree, which is now only have of the original tree we purchased because of all the dead having to be cut out of it, and new sections continuing to die daily, there was no refund or even credit. I was ready to purchase a tree 4 times the cost of the first tree, but was flatly refused any credit. When I asked the person who we were dealing with if she was the owner manager, she completely ignored me and walked away. I was told she is the owner/manager. This makes me very hesitant to shop local. I am sorry you had a bad day, or bad experience, but you have lost my business and trust.

My husband and I are extremely disappointed with the service we recently received. Despite having photos that proved their error with our order they were not willing to admit it. Then we thought we’d try and meet in the middle with a way to make it right and that was refused. You have now lost our future service and my family’s and anyone else I can convince. Over $50. So much for trying to supper local.

Extremely frustrated with the lack of customer service. I bought cedar mulch in a tote bag and then changed mind on how we wanted to re landscape. I called and asked if they would take a return for store credit (was going to buy perennials) they said sure come down and we can do that. I loaded up tote bag and when I got there they said I needed receipt. Something I was not originally told over phone and did not have anymore. There was nothing they were willing to do to help me out. The lady at counter even said she doesn’t know if their mulch or not even though it was in a Coaldale nurseries stamped bag that I got from them. I will never be back!!!

I'm not a big reviewer- but oh man- I try and I try with this place. I try to support this small local business, but over the years they have given me nothing to work with. They tote a warranty policy that they do not honour- had two dead trees in two years. Oh also- if they sell you a dead tree, you are responsible for the delivery of a new one $200+. They interrogated me on every aspect of care, only to tell me, well who knows how you treated the tree- it shouldn't have died". If you're going to spend THOUSANDS on trees from a nursery

If ur looking to get warranty stay away from there I was told by employees they were out of stock on Swedish Aspen n I should call in a few weeks when I called back to c if product is back In stock I was told they were never out of stock it was done on purpose to get me over my warranty date n the time I bought the trees there was no help from any employee u was on ur own n friendliness is not something u get when u open that door

After spending thousands of dollars to do a yard project I was a couple shovel fulls of rock short. They wouldn't sell me anything less than a yard and a half. Rules are rules I guess, but that's just bad business. I won't be returning. The service was always bad but the convenience of being in coaldale was enough to overlook their faults. Not anymore.

We bought a tree today and let the staff know we were driving to Medicine Hat with the tree in the trailer (150 km) . Staff said it should be fine and they do not have any wrap as protection or any string to help stop the tree from rolling around. The staff told us if we started losing leaves during the transport to slow down.We did stop and pick up some supplies at Home Hardware to help protect the tree. Thank goodness we did because any leaves that were not covered were shredded.
