Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Burnaby - Brentwood

I highly recommend this centre if mental well being is a top priority for your child.I initially made an arrangement to send my child to a well known centre in the Burnaby area that has been in the business for the longest time. However, after the first meeting at that location, I had second thoughts as something didn’t feel right. And so I went to this centre again at 1899 Willingdon Ave for the 2nd time under Paresh's management , and it didn’t disappoint me! Never judge a book by its cover, go in-person and you will be able to tell the difference.Paresh is the kindest person I have met, he is prompt in addressing questions and is very patient in providing guidance to his students. Paresh and the teachers never put pressure on my daughter and does not set unrealistic expectations. Paresh understands that each child has their own learning curve. My girl loves him and all the teachers at this centre. We will come back again next Spring!Thank you for everything Paresh!

My 3 daughters, twins, aged 8 and a 6 year old have been attending Kumon at Brentwood since 2018. They study 2 subjects (math and reading).We are very pleased with their progress in both subjects. The twins are better at multiplication than the adults in my family :)The instructor at this centre is very thorough, professional, kind and caring. You can see he is not just there for the money, he is dedicated to his students and he cares about each one of them and caters to their individual needs. He even has water bottles and treats around for the kids.He responds promptly to requests and concerns and he is always smiling. His caring attitude helps my girls when they are struggling.I initially connected with a different Kumon Centre nearby and the instructor was vague and impatient when answering my questions.I called Paresh and he met with me personally and explained the Kumon method to me and offered to try for free. I am so glad we took him up on his offer!All the teachers at this Centre are amazing!We could 't be happier!

My daughter have attended Kumon Math and Reading program. She has finished Reading program when she was in Grade 6 and have completed Level N in Math program. I encouraged to enroll the kid at the young age, around 4/5 at the time when their absorption power to learn basic skills is at peak.I appreciate the personal coaching, mentoring and attention given to my daughter at Brentwood Kumon center by Mr. Paresh and his staff. I found everyone at center respectful and helpful.I would like to thank Mr. Paresh and his staff for all the support they provided to my daughter to reach to this milestone in her student life. Kumon has taught her important soft skills such as time management, dedication, self learning and discipline in addition to Math and reading.Once again, Thank you Paresh, Brent Kumon staff and Kumon Canada.

Thank you so much Kumon Brentwood. My son started attending Kumon classes since last September, 2020. I clearly see a huge difference in his entire approach to Math. He pushed himself to learn as much as possible from the great support offered by the Kumon Brentwood staff, especially Paresh. In fact, my son started really late compared to other students. But, Paresh ensured that my son caught up and formed a solid foundation with the material and worksheets. I recommend any parents who wants their kids to keep in touch with Math, join Kumon.

My twin daughters have been going to this Kumon for 2 years. They are 5 now and started around 3 years old. I thought it was a little young but they were showing an interest in numbers so I thought I would at least look into it to see what it offered. The kids loved it! The teacher (who I believe is also the manager) Paresh truly cares about teaching children and understands numbers and concepts well enough to simplify them and make them fun. My girls do their homework because they don't want to disappoint him and look forward to going back each week. They told me that one of the most disappointing things of COVID-19 was not being able to see their Kumon teacher! They are now in Kindergarten and doing addition at the grade 1 level. We have decided to homeschool + Kumon this year and I'm sure the children will learn more than they would have at school. Highly recommend and will be staying for the long-term.

We met up with several kumon centres directors, and found that Paresh was the most professional, caring, accommodating and genuine. Communication was prompt. Class structure was organized. We definitely saw an improvement with academic performance for both kids. But more pleasantly surprised with the improvement of work habits- focus and working independently. If it weren’t for the sudden change of our financial situation, the kids would have continued!

We started with my daughter in Kumon reading as she was entering Kindergarten and this helped her and us stay on track and build her confidence. She kept making progress and surprised me! It has set up a good foundation for daily work and the kid is seeing the improvement. Communication with Paresh is excellent and he is very accommodating. Would highly recommend for anyone with kids struggling or who just want to be confident when they go to school!

Great place to learn and solid curriculum.Paresh and the teachers are extremely patient and makes the learning enjoyable. Our kid was always eager to go to his class.Don't expect a short term miracle solution. Learning something brand new can take time but once he started demonstrating his new knowledge we were amazed at his noticeable improvements every few days.Aside from the curriculum, developing the habit of doing homework work" everyday has been very valuable learning experience for our kid and I'm sure it'll pay significant dividend at higher grades."

I’ve been lucky to have found this kumon centre at Brentwood for my two kids. Even with a little travel, it’s proven to be worth it. I’ve looked into past locations prior to signing up with Paresh. Paresh and his team have provided excellent service and attention to my children improvement towards their academic path in both English and math. I’ve seen them grown in confidence and their habit of doing daily homework has been integrated in their daily routine. Paresh will also inform each parents of their children progress each time we visit. His care, and focus on each child has made this centre stand apart. Most importantly, the kids are enjoying their time at kumon.

My daughter attended Kumon Brentwood Center when she was struggling with her math. Step by step study procedures and practice on a daily basis helped my daughter build up her basic math foundation.
