Mom's Dim Sum

Best soup dumplings in town! Food is consistently good and very affordable. Particular (non-dumpling) highlights are the soybean noodles and the brown sugar buns. Efficient and friendly service. One of our favourite spots for lunch or dinner!

The price of the soup dumplings and all the other menu was very affordable. It’s not a lot of selection but pretty good 2 pages worth of staples. I honestly feel like they might need another server as it was hard getting the attention of one but overall she was super nice so that made up for it. The food was pretty good and the price definitely made it even better. We got the pork soup dumplings, crab + pork soup dumplings and salt + pepper popcorn chicken! I would definitely go again :)

Service is good, but let me tell you about the food…- Price is very friendly- Portions are great, especially the Crispy Chicken (very generous ❤️)- Clean and not busy at all (at least when I came in)- Delicious, flavourful, and taste authentic!I highly recommend giving this place a shot, especially if you’re craving soup dim sum!

Tried this spot for the first time, even though it’s super close to me. It was phenomenal. From affordable prices, to delicious and fresh food, to prompt and kind service. I cannot wait to come back here.We tried multiple dishes to share, all of which came out to $45 including tax and tip (!!! Amazing!).I really loved that they had chili oil at the table Because I always ask for it anywhere I go.The menu had plenty of different options. We ordered…cucumber salad - fresh, sweet, perfect palate cleanser.Chicken potstickers - my #2 contender on the menu- really delicious, fresh, juicy, crispy.Pork soup dumplings - perfect soupyness and delicious fresh filling. Even better with the chili oil. Made fresh to order.Beef brisket noodles - #1 on the menu! Delicious thick noodles, tasted very fresh and perfectly done. Not too doughy and not too raw. The broth was phenomenal. A bit spicy, lots of flavour, beef tasted good too. I could honestly drink a bowl of the broth on its own (but I won’t because I love noodles.)Shrimp/egg/vermicelli buns - loved the bun but I was getting so full by the time I came around to this. The shrimp was delicious, but I was a bit indifferent to the rest. It was good but I think I could do without it next time, or try the other buns offered to change it up.All in all, I’ll be back here very soon and amhappy to support a local business with such great food!

A great family type run restaurant, very simple ambience, with nice service and great food. I would say what won us over was just the simplicity of the food, it had a home made, cooked meal, comfort food vibe. We had the chives/egg pancakes which were fantastic, the vegetables dumpling were very good but it was the egg/shrimp/vermicelli dumplings that totally won us over (very large in portion). Finally, the greatest compliment was the value for money, being situated on Yonge Street, healthy portions, this is a definite value for your buck, i.e., super affordable. Will definitely visit again!

This restaurant is my go to for the Braised Meat on Rice dish, it's a good portion of food for $11 (image included is of this dish).In general, the menu has a good variety of options.Service is acceptable for the most part - it can get busy and there may be only one person taking orders and serving the room.Overall, affordable and lots of options on the menu.

So this isn't a chinese dim sum place, despite its name. A decent place for Shanghai food and some popular Taiwanese dishes for the price point. Everything was.... Just ok. If you do like the dumplings however, they offer them in frozen packs for you to take home.

This is my fave soup dumpling spot in the neighbourhood! I’ve tried other well reviewed spots but I find that I enjoy their dumplings the most because it’s made fresh, it’s tasty and not dry like the others. I’ve also tried their beef brisket noodle soup which is really good as well! I just wish there’s an option to skip on the noodles since I really just like the broth with beef and veggies.Overall, I’m always satisfied with Mom’s Dim Sum, even if it’s for dine in or take out. As an added bonus, the lady at the counter that takes our order is really nice as well!
