Very interesting rock formations sculpted by this river. Beautiful, lush lowland ferns and cedar trees along the path leading away from the bridge, beneath a tall rock cliffside. The light around noon in winter, being low, throws amazing beams of light through the foliage.

Amazing. Lots of fun to jump into the river. The river has a good flow between the rocks and it a good place to have a tube. You can just float around on the one side. Really fun place to cool off on a hot day. Easy bike ride from town.

This parking lot is probably the closest parking lot to the bridge. Bridge is about 300 meters from the parking lot.East trails that take you upstream and/or downstream so you can look at the bridge at different angles. Some large boulders/rocks are eroded by the water, and the rocky section downstream has some interesting rocks if you collect themNot many people around in the cooler months between late October to March; you’ll most likely have the park all to yourself.

Top Bridge Parking (Chattell Rd)
A great spot for a warm day. The current is slow, there's varying depths, and some cool places to dive in! The suspension bridge is neat, my kids loved it. Bring minnow nets, beach and water toys and enjoy the summer. Note that it gets busy, and there's a lot of off leash dogs. There's two ways in, and the south entrance/parking lot seems to be a shorter distance to the beach.

Nice walk around rapids and over a footbridge. Paths were largely overcome with mud on our visit, limiting how much we could see without wearing gumboots.
