Berlitz Calgary Learning Centre

I’m going to be honest I wouldn’t recommend Berlitz to anyone. There are languages schools in Calgary taught by native speakers that have undergone vigorous training. Berlitz are just a group of languge speakers who have been given a platform.Wanna learn French go see Alliance Française.There are so many better programs even cheaper.

I took a French course through Berlitz online and found the instructor, Laurent, to be excellent. He challenged me through the learning material and method used. It was a fascinating course in which I increased fluency as well as knowledge of art, culture, and literature in diverse areas of the world.Later, I began Korean online, and once again have an excellent instructor, Eun Gyeong, who has tailor made the course to meet my way of learning. I’m continuing as I’d like to become fluent in this language.Domingo, the Director of Berlitz Calgary, has put me in touch with these two instructors who excel in teaching language. I couldn’t be happier.

Great opportunity to learn a language (especially for speaking practice), with excellent, friendly instructors and staff. The level to which I advanced has not matched the length of the course book, which I initially thought it would. But, quality of learning is paramount. If you want to change a class time, make sure you do it by 3pm the day BEFORE the class you want to change to allow the Berlitz instructors and administrators enough time to re-arrange the schedule. In summary, follow the class re-scheduling policies!

The course materials are okay. However getting in contact with someone from the school is very difficult. You would think taking online classes there would be some flexibility, but there isn't. There isn't any review of what was previously learned..The main concerns is getting through the lessons as soon as possible.

I’d heard for years that Berlitz is the best place to learn a language and it’s true! The instructors are excellent and the school is very flexible in meeting my schedule needs. I am almost finished German level 3!

This is a very professional and highly respected language school. I sent our executives and they all provided flying colours with regards to Berlitz's ability to deliver, customer service and curriculum execution. The director - Domingo Lumanog is a great resource to have in your corner. Thank you Berlitz for helping our business with your top shelf language training!

Location to CTrain in excellent, 2nd floor right off elevator, big signs so its easily distinguishable. Reception(ist) very welcoming. Clean, comfortable seats for waiting. Small business office but its not crammed, multiple comfy rooms to learn in with good seating space. Domingo is very good at his job! Prices for me right now are not within my budget but was very happily welcomed in by staff there. On first impressions; it looks and feels like a place where I'd want to learn a new language, all instructors were busy in classes which is a good thing!

Teaching Spanish at Berlitz was a great experience for me as an instructor due to the learning method that Berlitz uses with excellent results. A very professional environment, excellent students and a dedicated staff, made my stay enjoyable.

I took Level 3 Spanish to give me a structured way to bring my conversational Spanish to a higher level. The approach used by Berlitz is excellent and I surprised myself by passing the final exam without having a nervous breakdown! Due to Covid-19 I had to complete my sessions on-line and this was handled very competently by Domingo and his team. I'll be back for Level 4 this fall. Dave

The academic quality is excellent. Personalized courses based on individual needs masterly executed. I had three different teachers in my recent course and all of them were excellent and very friendly.
