Americana Conference Resort Spa & Waterpark

Very clean, friendly staff and knowledgeable. When we discovered we were paying for parking for 5 vehicles but only had 4 (one vehicle was accidentally allocated to the wrong room) they were quick to fix the problem.Breakfast was good, nice selection of hot and cold foods and juices and generous amounts (buffet style).The rooms were clean, the lines, unfortunately, were very stiff, and the beds themselves are very hard. One of the staff said they're new. The rooms are very spacious and some have sliding doors (with secure locks) and patios.The water park is well appointed and the kids (16-19 y/o) all enjoyed playing in it.You will need a vehicle to get to the Falls /downtown etc. I would stay here again.

If you have kids under 11 this is the place to be. Waterpark is a lot smaller in person however great for young kids. I have all teenagers. They were bored after one hour.The rooms are great sizes love that they have a balcony.I didn't realize it was a bit of a drive to the falls. However there some nice local places near-by to save some $$ on restaurants prices.

Nicely decorated and designed. Waterpark is for younger kids best for maybe 10 or 12 and down. It’s nice they have suites for 6 to accommodate larger families. With that in mind would be nice if restaurant meals on site were a bit more affordable. Pricey breakfast buffet. My kids are not big eaters and for the price just wasn’t feasible to eat there. hotel not located near the falls so you can’t just walk outside and have restaurants all around you. It would also be nice if they streamline their check in. It took a long time.

My review is about the Americana waterpark where I hosted my boys birthday party recently. We did not stay there so no comments about the rooms. Booking for the party was easy, we were given tables on mezzanine level from where you can view the entire water Park. Overall water park is average, old and desperately needs make over. I’ve been to this resort 7-8 years ago and nothing has changed since then. Body slide is wearing out and has rough edges which could give a scratch or cut on your body. It was the same 7 yrs ago and it’s still the case. There are 2 tube slides, 2 body slide and a small wave park with pool. Ok park in my opinion but it definitely needs lot of maintenance and make over. Outside food is not allowed so have to buy from the restaurant which is expensive. No food delivery to the Mezzanine level, come down order the food and when ready then pick on your own. It was very hot at that level and one of the fan was broken.I probably would not visit again.

Booked with a large group. Kids ranged from 3months-12years old and everyone had a blast! Staff were great and the water park was so much fun! Rooms were very spacious. We will definitely be back :)

The good: We got a room close to the water park. The beds are decent. The water park was enjoyable for the kids.The terrible:1. Service is atrocious here. The housekeeping staff are very friendly and courteous here. But the front desk and requests that are very basic, such as requests for towels so that we can take showers are EXTREMELY poorly managed. We had to request towels twice by phone, and then once in person walking down to the front desk. We still had to find and ask housekeeping staff directly for towels to track some down. The staff work hard. But you can tell how poorly managed the place is. It's shameful.2. The cost vs. value. We paid over $800 for two nights, all in. I've read the replies from the Americana to other reviews about how they feel their pricing is fair". Even if the price is competitive in terms of amount

Good experience again!!! ( 2yrs in a row ). Recommend staying there, it's geared towards small children, and older kids would be bored with park. But great alternative to fallsview and great wolf, all 3 rooms were clean and spacious, staff were very welcoming from checking in to house keeping. We weren't a big fan of breakfast buffet better value found locally. Lots of parking $25 but it's a tourist town not unexpected. Would definitely come back again my grand kids already making plans .

We tried this place for the waterpark but was not very impressed. I found it rusty in places and there was hair hanging where the attendants squeegeed water off the deck. Also the kids play area had broken equipment so there was not much to play with.However, I have to say the lifeguards were on point and making sure everyone was safe and following the rules. Good work by them.

UPDATE: After reading a reply from the hotel, the rooms rating to 3 stars as the new room that was offers to us was much better than the previous one. I also increased 1 star to 3 stars for service because during the check in, staff was pleasant.However, the coffee machine issue or the lack of welcoming attitude during the request to switch the room have not been addressed in the reply.One night cost over $500.00 for a room with two queen beds and a bunk bed. The location does not warrant the price tag, neither does the service or amenities. The hotel is located 10 minutes drive from Niagara Falls (over an hour long), which will require you to drive to DT and pay extra for parking despite this hotel charging over $20 for parking on top of the cost of the room.Our first room smelled old socks and sweat inside and garbage outside. When we approached reception to change the romm, I did not notice a smile on the face but rather an expression of being bothered...not what I expect when I pay over $500 for one night.The coffee machine in the lobby was out of order...
