Adopted a cat recently, and they were very kind, knowledgeable, and do such fantastic work. I was impressed by the size of the enclosures for a shelter and their system in place to avoid any cross contamination for any more sensitive kitties. The care and work that was put into the semi feral that I adopted is so clear as well. I also very much appreciated that they do not take competing applications, so you aren't left waiting to find out if you were chosen while feeling very attached to the cat you have applied to adopt. Once you apply, throughout the entire process, no one else will apply.Absolutely recommend adopting through them and supporting them through donations so they can keep up the good work they do.

The ladies were so sweet full of information ! We showed up close to closing but the young lady gave us the tour and .took the time to tell us about each kitty as we met them. Once we picked one to bring home the application was quick and easy and the waiting period was just the right length to think about the decision without pressure. I am quite happy with our experience and will definitely reccomend ppl go see these gals first!

Very kind volunteers and the cats are well cared for. So many gorgeous cats waiting for forever homes. I would take them all if I could. Love that it's a no-kill shelter. I will continue to work with the community to bring donated supplies that are much needed for the shelter.

We try to go visit every week. The cats are well loved and cared for. It always amazes me that it doesn't smell like cats. Their house cat 'Baby' is so sweet.

The people who work and volunteer at the shelter are wonderful and knowledgeable. They have helped myself and my parents to find wonderful fur companions several times over many years. I would recommend FVHS for all your future fur babies and companions.

The staff absolutely cares about the cats there. It is clean and well kept. We were so happy to adopt two bonded cats.

This shelter is fantastic!They allowed me to come veiw and play with cats and kittens many times with my volunteer little sister (BBBSFV).Staff are friendly, cages are clean, and cats seem happy enough to be there waiting for a new home.I ended up adopting a little black kitten about a year ago and he is the best cat now! Ultimate rodent killer and awesome snuggler.
