World Gym St-Jérôme

The staff at this gym are extremely unaccommodating and very rude. I'm not sure if it's because I'm english or if they just have bad manners - I tried to cancel this membership before the 36 days because I moved and they kept giving me the run around to the point where I wasn't allowed to cancel anymore. I left several messages for a manager to call me back, they never did. My last conversation consisted of them calling me a liar because they didn't have any notes on file and then she hung up on me. Also, the showers and steam room are very dirty - there was brown water dripping down the walls. This gym doesn't even deserve 1 star.

This gym is going down hill.. As you can see with all the recent reviews... The AC has been broken for months now. And it's unbearable to train in this heat... What's going on?? Fix the AC!!!!

Awesome place to work out. No one bothers you and everyone is respectful. The staff is great, friendly and they always seem to have a smile. Also most of the staff speak French and English. They have everything you would need and expect from a gym. Very clean and comfortable.

It’s been a couple of months that I’ve been going to this particular gym as a VIP and I’ve never been more disappointed. Staff members asking us how they can make the gym a better place for us, where do I start? AC constantly breaking and making it extremely uncomfortable to workout, weights always left in a corner or on the ground for hours, not enough benches, dusty equipment, repetitive and boring music always playing. One of the most ridiculous things on the list is whenever a machine breaks, it takes at least 2 weeks for it to get fixed. I’m a manual guy and sometimes I’d quickly check what’s wrong and it’s something that is easily fixable with basic tools and some common sense, how is it possible that the last time, the leg extension machine was broken for 3 weeks and a half? A whole joke.Also don’t even get me started on the changing rooms. I feel completely disgusted by heading into the shower zone. It’s so disgusting that I have to take another shower once I get home because of all the bacteria left around. I get that men are dirtier than women but washing it at least once a week would help a lot and it’s quite simple to do. Spray detergent with vinegar everywhere in a form of a foam cannon, let it sit for a couple of minutes and power wash it after. There are many members doing complaints as of now and we certainly hope there will be changes or else most of us will change gyms.

I joined this gym at the end of July. Overall the gym layout and equipment is good. I have a VIP pass and have been now to 4 others. Overall though this one I have a few disappointments, first the week I joined was told by rhe manager that the vapor sauna would be fixed the following week (still not working over two months later) speaking to other members it seems it never works. Then the showers stopped working last week, and there is no ETA for it being fixed. Not fun working out without showering. Two other nuissances that would be easy fixes. Behind the bathroom stall doors there are no hooks (all other world gyms have them). The other it would be nice to have at least one sink you can control water flow for shaviny or brushing your teeth

The worst fraudulent gym ever ! I have signed up in 2018 and unfortunately due to my moving to another city i had to cancel . I went in person twice to cancel and in 2022 September this year what i see on my Equifax there’s a collection of 2800$ and my credit scores has decreased . So i googled and i what i see i’m not the only one but many had the same issue . I won’t let this go easily and i won’t pay any cent to these fraud who try to make money by frauding people . PLEASE BE AWARE OD THIS GYM !!!
