Recently had a portion of my driveway removed and a sidewalk installed in lieu. Excellent work with polite, considerate, and efficient staff from all areas. They complied with all our concerns and completed the job earlier than estimated.

My husband and I had a small project that needed work—two sets of front steps that needed a fresh coat of concrete, eventually to become exposed aggregate.From the minute Dino reached out to us, I could tell the job was his to lose. His demeanor, professionalism, advice, personality and genuine “I care” attitude shone through loud and clear. He came and met with us as soon as he could, which was only a couple of days from talking with him. He showed up on time, ready and prepared to take notes, ask questions and find out exactly what we wanted and what we needed. He listened to our concerns, he was patient in explaining processes and he was always extremely respectful. More often than not, he was dealing with me and he never made me feel as though I didn’t know what was going on. Dino was amazing to work with all around.Dino was extremely transparent throughout the whole project. I was never left in the dark wondering “What now?”. Dino would make a point to phone me and let me know exactly what was happening and when. If there was a delay, he let me know immediately that there was a delay, why there was a delay and how soon the project would be able to continue. That type of care and attention to detail was wonderful. Dino always had a plan and a solution for whatever came up.Like I said, it was just an absolute pleasure to work with Dino and his crew—all of them were respectful, not only towards me, but also towards our property and our time. I will be recommending them and your company to anybody and everybody, whether they need concrete work done or not!Also—special shout out for not only sealing the steps, but re-sealing the walkway as well. A beautiful touch that does not go unnoticed.I thank them so much for making this process so simple and pain free for us. The steps turned out great and we’ve already received many comments and compliments about them. While we hope we never need to see them again, if we did, it would be a pleasure to work with them once more.

Today I had an appointment with Dino Cesario to a quote for our home. He didn't show up or call. I called the office to let them know and they said they would have him call me. Dino did call me back and said he was stuck at a job. I asked if it was common to not contact your customers and let them know you are not coming. Dino said sometimes things happen" and then he hung up on me. I'm so glad I didn't bother to get a quote from this company."

I recently contracted A1 Cement to replace my 45 year old residential driveway and sidewalks. From start to finish the work was done professionally and in a timely manner. All of the crews that worked on the job ( cut out crew, concrete removal crew, forming crew, cement crew and the clean up crew) were very efficient. Communication was top notch throughout the process and as a result, there were no surprises. Timelines were adhered to and the site was always left in good shape each day. Trevor, the lead manager on the job was extremely knowledgeable and added a few suggestions for trickier parts of the job that worked out really well. As well, there was some remediation work required on some decorative brick work that was displaced during the cut out process and A1 looked after the repair, no questions asked. I have no qualms in recommending A1 for this type of work. The people that they employ obviously like working for the Company and it shows in the quality of their work.

Last year we had Travis and Michelle come out and quote our front walk and patio, they were very knowledgeable in explaining the process of how my current walk would be removed and re-poured. I get so many compliments on my back patio, it looks incredible. We are now having A-1 Cement pour a hot tub pad this spring. Would definitely recommend A-1 Cement to anyone!

This review is SPECIFICALLY for Al Savoi and his son of A1 Cement.I do not normally write reviews, but wanted to thank these two for their professionalism. He was on time, fast, courteous, professional, and above all knowledgeable.We had build with Cedarglen homes and noticed a few problems with our driveway. To make a long story short, we had to have our drive redone. Al walked us through step by step of the whole process. Not only that, he followed up with us to see if we were doing ok, and if we were happy with his work!To have have an employee who takes pride in his work like Al must definently be one in a million. Keep up the good work, you did such a wonderful job and it shows it in your work. A-1 Cement has been so professional in the two weeks they have spent in my tiny backyard. They took great care in removing the old broken cement and laying a beautiful new sidewalk. The technicians have been informative, helpful, thorough and the end result is beyond beautiful. Thank you A-1!

Horrible, only reason they exist is they are the lowest bidder for home builders. Spalling occurred after the 1 year warranty and they just shrugged it off. Other new houses in the neighbourhood have spalling and/or discolouring. Only use if you just need a year out of your driveway.Edit:After being contacted by the General Manager we came to an agreement where they sandblasted and sealed my driveway and walkway for a reduced price. Looks 100% better. I have to give them credit for reaching out and it appears it was the builder who failed to communicate with A-1 when I originally complained.

We were replacing a very bad crumbling driveway and A-1 was a referral from a friend and it turns out to be a great referral. From working with Russell and Beckie on the quote to, the breakup of the old driveway, putting in the forms, pouring cement and the finishing work, it was a class act and we could not be more happy. Our neighbors are impressed with how quickly and efficiently it was done and of course the workmanship. We would not hesitate to refer A-1 Cement Contractors to our friends, family and all others looking for cement work. Thanks A-1!
