Hyatt Place Calgary Airport

Avoid this hotel.I experienced two major problems in this hotel.1. The check out time is 11 am. A housekeeper knocked just one time and then opened the door at 9.30 am. While she had completely opened the door, she asked me when you wanna leave the room!! She didn't apologize when she saw us in the room, which means her act was not uncommon for her! I was shocked! I immediately called the receptionist and she said I will call you"

My wife's too nice, so I'll write about our experience. Hotel/shuttle was unresponsive 40+ minutes the night of arrival. It was late, cold, and raining. Paid $25.00 Canadien for taxi to hotel. Front desk said to contact manager for refund the next day. An email (no reply) and three online chats later (all runarounds), somehow the manager continues to be unavailable. Shady shenanigans from various employees to pass the buck. Thankfully, we only stayed here one night.

Modern hotel and clean rooms. Shower had low water pressure. Complimentary breakfast was very basic with no waffles or pancakes. Would stay again though as it was close to the airport. But no convenience stores or gas stations in the vicinity to get any late night necessities like milk. However, hotel provided the milk.

I stayed one night at this hotel. I had a late arrival at Calgary Airport. It was easy to contact the hotel to have them come to pick me up at the airport. Just call the hotel phone number and ask them to dispatch a shuttle for pick up. The hotel is only 5 minutes drive away. The driver was very friendly and polite. Upon checking in, my room was upgraded to a higher floor with city view. Check in process was fast. I was given 2 bottled water because I am one of the Hyatt Loyalty Explorist member. The staff told me the breakfast will be available at the dining hall from 6:30am. When I entered my room at #433, it was clean and neat. Plenty of towels. There is a sofa bed but I didn't use it. The next day, I went to have breakfast, there was a convention going on, and there were many people. I brought my breakfast back to my room. There were plenty of choices of breakfast items, from bagel to toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, hashed brown, cereal, coffee, milk, tea, juices, etc. I would stay here again if I have to visit Calgary.

Loved our stay at the Hyatt in Calgary! The rooms were very clean and spacious. I had to print off some documents for work, so I appreciated their business center. Additionally, despite being right beside the airport, this hotel was really quiet. We didn't attend the continental breakfast so I can't comment on it. But what I can comment on is not only the gross moldy smell from the elevator carpets...pee ew, but also the extremely small parking spots.

Clean modern room & hotel. Having the restaurant on site was very handy as we'd returned our rental car already. The food was alright; but had potential to be better. Ordered the beet salad with shrimp. Beets should have been warm and the shrimp were just cocktail shrimp warmed up. Some shrimp sautéed in a little oil and garlic would have made it much better.Close to airport with shuttle. We had no issues with the shuttle as others have noted however we also didn't wait for the driver and just started loading our bags in the back when the departure time for the shuttle arrived.Nice large gym space open 24h.Hot breakfast included that was OK; I would have liked a waffle iron though ☺ .Just needs a pool & hot tub.

A very subpar property which does not line up with the standards of Hyatt Place.The building is modern and nice, but the breakfast is substantially inferior to those found at other North American Hyatt Place properties. In addition, when we checked in, the employees at the front desk did not pay attention to the elite status and benefits at all. Rooms are also somewhat smaller than what you would find at other Hyatt Place properties. I would not recommend this hotel.

I booked this hotel for my parents when they planned to visit during the Covid pandemic, which required a mandatory 3-day isolation for international travelers. Unfortunately, just four days before their scheduled arrival, my mother was diagnosed with cancer and unable to fly. Understanding the exceptional circumstances, I reached out to the hotel to request a refund or rescheduling.Initially, the hotel staff seemed sympathetic and mentioned they could accommodate the request if provided with a doctor's report. I promptly submitted the necessary documentation, hoping for a positive response. However, I was disappointed to receive no acknowledgment or confirmation from the hotel. Concerned about the lack of communication, I made several phone calls to follow up on my request, only to be told that my case was under review.As time went by, I grew increasingly frustrated and felt compelled to give up on pursuing the matter further. Regrettably, the hotel never refunded the amount or provided any resolution, leaving me dissatisfied with their handling of the situation.Given the unexpected circumstances my family faced and the hotel's initial promise of accommodating our request, I had hoped for a more compassionate and efficient response. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, delayed review process, and failure to provide a refund have left a negative impression of the hotel's customer service.

Rooms were good, very clean, better pillows would be great, front desk staff were friendly. Breakfast was mediocre eggs had no flavour boxed eggs possibly, no fruit, the plates were dirty so was where spoons&forks were placed. The bar/restaurant very slow service we sat down to have dinner but the menus took a while and when they came with the menus the person never came back to take our order. We ended leaving and ordering from uber eats.

Clean and comfortable. considering how close it is to the airport and the Deerfoot, it is very quiet. Has good amenities such as workout center and in house restaurant. A decent breakfast included. It has something for everyone, eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast and bagels, hot cereal, cold cereal, yogurt, bananas, red Delicious apples, coffee and tea. Rooms were nice but sofa bed and pillows below standard. Parking spots were too narrow for truck loving Albertans!
