This is a review for vegans! I am grateful they offer two vegan perogy options here. They are both delicious and you can really tell they're made with love and tradition. None of the full meals are vegan, so I would recommend getting the 4 perogies for $5, with onions! Or take a frozen bag home for around $14. :)

The vegan perogies were very good but way too expensive for us to buy them again. 10$ for 8 perogies in a bag is a ridiculous price for frozen perogies.

Great perogies, and lovely staff. Hot, fast, and delightful. A great little pit stop too of you want to take some frozen perogies home. Can't wait to come back!

The food is great! The perogies are made from a family recipe, and they are the best I have tasted so far. I only had the snack, but will go back for their full meals, and take frozen ones home. Different varieties of perogies, as well as borscht.

I love, love, love, *love* this restaurant. This is home-cooked food at its best!The staff is friendly, the food is out of the world, and there's all kinds of frozen or sweet goodies to take home with you to boot.Seriously, go in and order the Rooster Combo Plate, with one of each kind of perogi. I promise, you won't regret it.

We stopped by this cool Grannie-run Perogies place during our time in Nanaimo. It was not bad when we ate it minutes of receiving it and surprisingly we kept a few for reheating at home and the reheated ones tasted 2x better and left me craving some more. Weird!

Very happy with my SkipTheDishes order, they followed instructions and included all the extras. The food was amazing. Reminds me of a dinner my mum served as a kid. Thank you Hungry Rooster!!

I love the perogies. We ordered spinach and feta. It’s take out only due to covid. The lady was very friendly. But she didn’t gave us forks and spoons.

I love this place!!! I lived in radium hot springs and the farmers market every Friday I would buy this food from the owners daughter up there that had a food truck:) This soo delicious. Home made perogies, perfect sauerkraut, yummy coleslaw soo good.
