Front Yard Farms

Aiden planted the most wonderful garden in my backyard. It brings me so much joy to walk out into my backyard and see my lettuce and strawberries and tomatoes etc flourishing. Aiden patiently answered all my questions and is extremely knowledge about all things gardening. We’ll definitely be getting his help next year to expand our garden even more. We first met Aiden at the Vancouver home show. I arranged for him to come out and assess and give guidance on the best way to set up my existing garden. The knowledge and detail Aiden put into the report is super helpful and I cannot wait to start the garden. I’ve never really considered composting but Aiden’s advice and direction makes it seem easy and extremely beneficial for an organic garden.

We met Aiden at the Vancouver Home Show and have now worked with him for a few months. Firstly, Front Yard Farms came in and completely flipped our existing growing space into a thriving organic food garden. From espaliering our grape vine, to planting blueberries, raspberries, a mix of annuals, perennials, herbs, and vegetables, they have done a wonderful job of blending food and functionality into the landscape. Front Yard Farms also provided an Organic Grow Guide for us to use if we want to learn more about organic growing or take on the garden ourselves.Secondly, Aiden is a very friendly, respectful, punctual, organized, and kind person who always listens to what we'd like done and then works his magic into making the ideas become reality. We feel so comfortable having him around our house and our family. He's worked around our schedule and has wonderful and clear communication so that we are never left to wonder what's going to happen next. We always love walking out to our beautiful flourishing garden, and it's so wonderful to find the fresh harvest of the week at our door after he's come by to maintain the garden.If you want a beautiful, thriving garden, we highly recommend Front Yard Farms.

Front yard farms help me realize my dream of growing my own vegetables!The raised boxes Aiden built for us are amazing! No bending over to tend the plants. And, he really helped us with the irrigation system for the whole property. Aiden is very knowledgeable helpful and professional. Couldn’t be enjoying these tomatoes, peas and zucchini without his guidance.( there will be raspberries and blueberries next year too)

This company scammed me. As well as i work in garden centre, I ordered a custom size of pot from Front Yard Farms to my client. They named one summ at first. Then price changed twice during the week of installation. Then they delivered a wrong size of wood to our customer. When we told them that we want to return a pot, and refund, they promised 50% of compensation. But eventionally, when I spent my time and fuel to return it, they did not pay the money back. So they just took money for air. Eventually they are left with their wood and I am left without money. I want to warn all people that are going to work with them that Aiden is a fraud. As well as I come from Ukraine, I am shocked about Canadian entrepreneurs that steel money in this way.

If you don't know what kind of fertilizer to use for your potted vegetables, ask Aiden. If you want an advice on how to successfully germinate your seeds, what side of your house to grow what, ask Aiden, he is full off great suggestions and can answer all the questions as he is very knowledgeable in his field.

We've called Aiden twice for our food garden setup, lawn work and and then seasonal planting. Both the times we felt like we were overcharged for the value. He failed to give us the receipt of the things he purchased (and we expect the materials he bought to cost much less but without receipt we were left to just trust his word), the final cost was always higher than his estimate, and he didn't clarify that the weeding we spoke of only included the backyard and not the front yard till the day of work. On top of that, the work he charged us so much for was short of quality. He talked a lot of theory but then the crops either got diseased or didn't fruit, or he didn't realize were gone bad despite him coming for maintenance, and he didn't plant everything that we spoke about. The second time he arrived late and with the limited time for which he charged full labor cost, he did a superficial weeding, which we had to fix after just a few days. What's the point of paying him $1000+ for low quality work. He's not very responsive either, it almost feels like we are chasing him with questions and he doesn't seem to want our business. We hired him because didn't have time to find another gardener the second time. He disappointed us again, so we will find another gardener whenever we need help.
