Dr Mark Sorial

I brought my son to the hospital he was the pediatrician working. My son was having headaches. This was my first child I never new alot about medications so I brought him to the hospital because he kept complaining at 1.5yrs old that his head hurt. Dr.Sorial said I think your son is addicted to tyelenol I said he's 1 why would I give him tyelenol. I never new there was children's tyelenol. He looked at me a said well what do you do when he gets these headaches I said I would massage his head and get him to relax but they were getting worse. So he said my you should try and give him some children's tyelenol. The second time we went to the hospital my son was 3 he couldn't walk by himself without falling, we seen Dr.Sorial again he said my son had flat feet needs Orthopedics I said but when he falls he doesn't put his hands out there is something wrong. He swore it was his flat feet. I asked my doctor for a second opinion to find out my son had a tumor and a cyst in his brain Dr.Cohen sent him in right away for a CT scan he had an Mri the next day and brain surgery 2 days later if he would have sent my son in back when he was having headaches I don't think I'd be where I am today. His life has been a struggle and he is 24yrs old now. No thanks to Dr.Sorial

Horrible doctor. Not recommend him at alll

This is a horrible doctor. BEWARE he thinks every child suffers from ADHD (met two other moms whose kids were wrongly diagnosed by him too) and wants to put them on drugs right away! Seek a second opinion. Our family doctor, another pediatrician, a psychiatrist and a psychologist all agreed that Dr. Sorial's diagnosis was WRONG!!!! My son actually has OCD and we have managed to help him with therapy.Dr. Sorial thinks that he is never wrong. When my husband and I voiced that we did not think that our son had ADHD he told us that he had been a pediatrician for 30 years so he knew what he was talking about and he knew ADHD when he saw it. He saw our son for couple of minutes and came up with that diagnosis. My son was 5yrs old at the time and was restless and bored from having to wait around for one hour. Any 5yr old would have been restless by then, that does not mean they have ADHD!

Dr Sorial listened to my concerns and diagnosed my infant son with multiple food allergies. He even found a serious one that a previous allergist missed. I feel comfortable with his guidance and the plan we have in place to manage these allergies.

My daughter is 9 weeks old and has been having higher levels of bilirubin causing her to stay jaundice. When we were referred to Dr. Sorial, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but once we had our appointment, he explained everything to us. He showed us her blood work results and did a physical exam on my daughter to make sure her liver and spleen weren’t enflamed. He was very thorough and I appreciate that. He asked about the pregnancy with her and if there were any complications. He took the time to learn about her medical history instead of just coming to a conclusion of why she was still jaundice. He explained to me what could be happening and then gave us another requisition to get some more blood work done to ensure that things weren’t getting worse. He then called us with the results and with good news that her bilirubin is going down and she’s jaundice because she is breastfed which is a normal thing to happen he assured us. I’m quite pleased with Dr. Sorial and his diligence of making sure my baby is okay and healthy. Also, the receptionist is lovely and asked about my daughter as well, complimenting how cute she is. I recommend this office.

In my experience, Dr. Sorial has been extremely supportive when dealing with issues surrounding our little one. I have never felt as though he was rushing us along, either when meeting in-person or via phone session. He is kind and communicates clearly, and he always takes the time to understand. Would give 6 stars out of five if I could! His receptionist is nice, too.

He wrote my child a prescription. When I expressed that she was having a major adverse reaction, he said it was impossible and had not seen it in all of his years of practicing". Well

Has been very helpful in making sure that the medical help for my daughter that is required is there if we choose to use it. Which we have and it has helped with her conditions immensely! This has been the 4th paediatrician that we have seen in 3 years and it’s been relieving to find someone that will actually listen to our concerns and take the time to watch her in the office for behaviour control.

Second time we've gone to see him. He was kind and very calming for my 4 year old who was a little scared. He was right about one of the allergies being outgrown. Lady at the desk was an absolute pleasure. definitely great experience both times.
