Uxbridge Community Midwives

After having our first child via an OB in Toronto, we really wanted the care of a midwife for our second child in Uxbridge. We were lucky enough to get in with UCM and we are eternally grateful. Our midwives were amazing. They gave the extra personal touch which was especially needed during all the global health issues. I was able to give birth how I was most comfortable and was given options when needed. Post natal care at home was exactly what I needed, especially with a toddler at home. I felt heard and comfortable and would choose Uxbridge Midwives again if we were to have another. Thank you Tiffany and her amazing team.

We have had 3 children with the midwives at UCM. First was delivered by Tiffany, second by Janis and third by Jamiena. At every point I have felt valued and heard and all my choices respected. As a Registered Nurse, it is important to me to have up-to-date evidence based recommendations, and I always felt this was the case. I am forever grateful for the amazing teams at UCM for three incredible and supported births and excellent after care. I am going to miss coming here!

Being a first time mother, having continuous care and informed decisions were extremely important to me and my husband. We both felt the utmost care and dedication from UCM! Especially the 6 weeks postpartum care, I felt so taken care of and had help with everything from breastfeeding to basic newborn care. I honestly have never had better quality health care in Ontario. Thank you to Team 1 (Anna and student midwife Kailey) and to Tiffany and Jameina who all worked together to make our birth experience a positive one! We are definitely coming back when we have our next child :)

Amazing midwifery care!!! Uxbridge midwives gave compassionate, safe care during my third birth. They supported my birth each step of the way, providing clear explanations of all procedures. They fully supported my decision for a home birth and provided a safe place where I could be vulnerable while giving birth. The desires of the mother were taken into consideration while maintaining freedom of choice. I would recommend them to anyone considering midwifery care.

My wife and I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience we had with Uxbridge Midwives. From the first appointment with Jamiena to our younger daughter's birth with Tiffany (and the unbelievably kind and awesome MSH midwifery unit in hospital- Anne and Abbey), to the post partum visits at our home. It's all been fascinating to me as a dad who didn't know much about midwifery. After going through this surreal experience (especially during birth), I highly recommend these ladies to anyone who is expecting.We had a great experience with our OB during the pregnancy with our older daughter but the birth experience itself was the complete opposite when compared to the midwifery unit. My wife always mentions how empowered she felt (as did I when they helped guide me in ways I could support her), and also how they treated her with dignity. It truly felt like we were all a team and my wife was the star player who we were supporting through it. It was such a great experience that we joked about maybe having another child bc of how well this experience was with the midwives.As we attended more and more appointments leading up to the birth, I began to realize how important it is to really immerse yourself in this experience as it truly is the most beautiful experience of life, so why not do it on your terms with the support that you need from women who understand what it's like. I attended every appointment with our OB and yet with the midwives I learned so much more as they took the time to explain things so I could understand as well.Late in the pregnancy, the midwives informed us that an induction was likely going to be necessary bc of some concerns they had with baby's growth. They were phenomenal in doing their due diligence to ensure all of the appropriate steps were taken and explained everything to us while helping us remain calm through a difficult time, and sure enough everything went remarkably well! I will miss the ladies and wish them all the best!

We had an amazing experience with team 1, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. Throughout my pregnancy, they were incredibly supportive and attentive. Answering all of our questions and concerns with patience and understanding. It made me feel empowered to make informed decisions about my own care.When it came time for the birth of my child, Jamiena and Kailey were absolute rocks. Calm, knowledgeable, and compassionate, they helped guide me through the entire process with ease. Their expertise and experience were invaluable in ensuring that everything went smoothly and safely.After the birth, they continued to provide outstanding care and support. They checked in regularly to ensure that both my baby and I were doing well, and they were always available to answer any questions or concerns that arose.Overall, we cannot recommend Uxbridge midwives highly enough. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible experience, and we will be forever grateful for the care and support. If you are looking for a midwife, look no further!

It has been such a pleasure working with the Uxbridge Midwives again for my second birth. I couldn’t have asked for better support from both Tiffany and Jamiena. Their dedication toward me before and during birth and then my baby post partum was over above! I would most definitely recommend this community. They definitely feel more like family!

I had the best experience dealing with the Uxbridge Midwives specifically Jameina. She made me feel so comfortable during my pregnancy, delivery and postpartum care experience. I've been with Uxbridge Midwives for all three pregnancies and am so grateful. Tiffany runs this clinic amazingly and has an awesome team. It's so obvious they love what they do and I love that they respect our decisions when we plan for the birth and thereafter. I had the privilege to do a home birth for the third pregnancy and they did a phenomenal job. Thank you Uxbridge Midwives. You are amazing!

I had the most amazing experience with the uxbridge midwives! Jamienah, Anna and Tiffany are amazing and make you feel so relaxed and confident. I had the pleasure of delivering my baby with Jamienah and it was a great experience, especially as a first time mom! I will definitely be back when I’m ready for my second baby!
