We had a wonderful experience with our pre-cal, grade 11 tutor, Bading. He was extremely kind, knowledgeable and patient. He always gave a detailed review of the work they did together, as well. Highly recommend. He also spoke French, which is a rare find. Very happy with the service we got through Tutor Doctor.

We began working with Tutor Doctor at the start of the 2022 school year as we sought help for our son who struggled greatly in math. Ian took the time to understand our son and his needs, and in a seamless process, we were quickly matched with a tutor. Our son’s tutor, Kyle, is fantastic. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things. As a teacher in training, he is not only qualified but has an obvious passion for helping kids learn and considers the whole child. He found out early that my son is interested in space and so he integrates fun facts and quick stories on space into each session. When my son is unmotivated, he switches things up with games that capture his interest. My son went from having very low confidence in math to a kid who is willing to take risks in math even if it means getting the wrong answer. My son has surprised himself with what he can do, and with Kyle’s coaching and encouragement, his math skills have definitely improved. Four months into the school year, my son is feeling much more comfortable in math, but, above all, his attitude toward it has changed. Thank you, Ian and Kyle!

We have had a great experience with Tutor Doctor and with our Tutor. Our son enjoys his time with the tutor and we can see a lot of improvement in his reading. Would definitely use them again in the future.

Ian from Tutor Doctor really listened to our needs to find a tutor that would match our daughter what our daughter needed. We were quickly matched with Nafis. We have never used a tutor before and Nafis, has set the bar high. Nafis was extremely responsive, patient, and went above and beyond in giving our daughter the tools she needed to succeed in math. Best of all, he made sure she truly understood before moving to the next question. It was apparent that Nafis really cared if she succeeded.

My experience with tutor doctor was very pleasant from the intake meeting and with them being very prompt in responding and matching the kids with the best tutor that the kids feel comfortable with . I love that I get an update after every session of tutoring that helps me know how the kids are doing . Like that they work with my schedule and availability.

Gabrielle, our tutor for our son, is just amazing. She is extremely skilled in speaking, reading and writing French, and breaking down work including ways to plan/manage writing essays. In addition, she provides great advice on reviewing and studying for tests, and she is very patient and flexible with times to meet. My son appreciates her help!
