Black Rider Tattoo

Such a great tattoo shop. I’m so sad Carlo is leaving. It’s always a great experience in the shop and I leave happier than ever with my work.

I have had 20% of my body tattooed by Eric at Black Rider, and he has designed most of it based on rough input from me. His artwork always impresses, and it translates well to skin. He may apply the stencil a half dozen times, but he always ensures that it's perfect.

Trying to book an appointment with Eric Brunning for one and half years. It started at June 2020. I get the same answer that Eric is busy and is NOT taking bookings for a year.I left emails, voice mails, physical letters and so forth. I even contacted Eric directly on Instagram and no response.Black Rider and Eric do not want any business. DO NOT USE this studio.There are other studios who take bookings in a reasonable time.I got an estimate for the body tattoo(s) that Black Rider and Eric refused to look at for a year and half. They lost that businessDo NOT use Eric and Bkack Rider for any reason as they will NOT service you for any reason

The shop looks awesome inside, and it's a clean, professional environment. The work was incredible, and it seems every day I work I get another compliment about my tattoo, which is healing phenomenally.From the outside, the studio has such little outside presence that it's easy to pass out by and almost not notice it, but I implore you to check it out. Everyone does great work.

Skilled artists, clean environment, and all around fun, friendly folks.Paul was my artist and he did an excellent job. The crisp linework is especially impressive! I'm so happy with my tattoo.

My wife has been getting her Disney sleeve done by Carlos. Unfortunately he's moving to Victoria but all the artists and the receptionist are amazing ppl. So easy to get along with make you feel so welcome and have amazing talent. Check em out

Wandered in here without an appointment with a photo of my frog for a very spur-of-the-moment first tattoo, hoping for some line art of him on my calf. They had me in and out in under two hours and I am extremely happy with the product. Jesse listened to what I wanted and was very professional in advising me on possible issues and improving the design while keeping to the spirit of what I had in mind. The tattoo is high quality with crisp and clean lines, even in the fiddly bits, and far exceeds what I was expecting, especially given how efficient and quick it was.I was a bit nervous, this being my first tattoo, but all of my questions (and then some) were answered and they went out of their way to put me at ease. The shop and equipment were very clean and I was given clear commentary on what was being done throughout. I also was given very good advice on after care and exactly what to expect during healing. If I had to name one negative from the experience, the only thing I can think of was the discovery that I was mildly allergic to the surgical tape used to secure the dressing, which of course was impossible to predict and had no impact on the healing of my tattoo. Overall, it was an exceptional first experience and I will definitely be returning here in future.

Dropped by in summer 2016/2017 with my partner while visiting Van. Jesse is usually booked up for months but had a cancelation that week and managed to fit us both in on the same day. There was a big issue that came up in the shop and Jesse had to step away to deal with it, but made a point to not charge us for the time lost. The tree frog I got is still vibrant and the lines held up great. The other artists present were very skilled and friendly. Definitely looking forward to getting more work from this shop.
