Bonnie Doon Dental Clinic

I'm surprised at the mixed nature of the reviews. I went first time last Friday for an emergency visit. They got me sorted quickly and provided some good advice for moving forwards.Today I returned for the start of some longer dental work (I have very bad teeth!). Got three fillings done, two of which were 5-surface. The whole process took no more than 45 minutes. During that time, Dr. Au and the hygienist (sorry, I didn't catch her name!) were wonderful. They made a good, efficient team.I have basically whole new teeth in my mouth! Amazing stuff. :)I also had no problem with the front desk staff on either visit, not sure why that recurs in the negative reviews. Maybe different staff? I dunno. Regardless, everyone was delightful. :)

I don't know why they don't have better reviews, I switched to this dentist a few years ago. I've only had good experiences over my 4 visits. Today I had Carrie clean my teeth, she was very personable, and efficient. Dr. Quon looked into an issue I'm having with a tooth and he was very thorough, even though I have pain, he suggested that I give it more time rather than pushing me to do work I may not need. I appreciate that. The front desk staff have always been great, Tina got me in today and she was very friendly. The whole experience was as good as it gets when going to the dentist. Price was quite reasonable considering I don't have insurance. I've had the another dentist who works there as well but he's on sick leave, he was always very fast, but good. Will be going back again.

Staff should be taught how to direct charges between Alberta health care, Alberta blue cross, Alberta blue cross for seniors. Teeth cleaning done October 29,2022, charged 199.00.i checked coverage when i got home, called the clinic and was told by Tina all would be taken care of and reversed, and recharged in order of coverages. after phoning back and forth to Tina finding out when i would be refunded, and was told it was blue cross was the hold up I phoned blue cross myself, was told payment and corrections were made, gave it time, then called Tina yesterday, she is only in 2 days a week, she did all she could and now a chq supposedly would be ready and in the mail this week, i said i would be in town on Thursday, she said someone would call me Wednesday to verify time for pick up, i get a call at 5pm tonight tuesday the person on the phone who said she was OUT OF THE COUNTRY was reading Tina's notes, and a cheque would not be ready Thursday, and she is not sure when a cheque would be ready because she has to submit a request to the owner to sign a cheque, i said to put it back on the Visa where it came from, they don't do that, maybe the cheque might be signed sometime in January but she's not sure. The more she talked, the more she didnt have a clue what she was talking about. next week maybe, but not sure and if it was put it the mail she didnt know if i would get it by the end of January... where the hell is the cheque coming from??? Been dealing with this too long, you have my money, blue crosses money earning interest and you cant apply a refund on my Visa, who writes cheques now a days? how stupid do you think i am??

I was in there on June 20th and got my teeth clean by a wonderful lady, Mary Grace thank you so much for the great job on my teeth, best cleaning I think I've ever had. Great job give her a raise! lol thank you. Really don't understand the bad reviews I just had another appointment me and my daughter and they do a great job, luckily I got Mary grace again I guess, I'd give them another 5 stars if I could.

My family and I have been going to this place for a very long time so it does make me sad to have to write this review.My son and I had a few visits for a check up/cleaning and we inquired about getting my son's wisdom teeth removed. After the X-Rays they said they couldn't do the wisdom tooth extractions as there was jaw bone covering a couple of them.They sent a request to Kingsway Oral Surgery to get a date set up to have them removed. Fast forward a week later on Jan 29th my son had another appointment to have a couple fillings done, after the procedure my son said that the dentist (Dr. Hitu S. Punj) had asked him if he wanted a wisdom tooth in the back filled. He said he wasn't sure what to say but had agreed to it.After I had called inquiring as to why the dentist would fill a wisdom tooth when he was getting them extracted?? The lady said it was because my son was only getting 3 of the wisdom teeth removed. I was told I needed to speak to the dentist and she told me that I would receive a call from the dentist on the Wednesday. I did not receive a call. I then called a week or so later inquiring about the same thing and was told the dentist would call me back. Again, I did not receive a call from them.At this point when we had gotten an appointment for the wisdom tooth extraction and I was told by Kingsway Surgery that they were removing all the wisdom teeth. On the day of the surgery at the Kingsway clinic, I mentioned what happened with Bonnie Doon Dental filling his wisdom tooth and they were surprised that they would do that. They said because my son was getting put out for the extractions and having surgery that they would remove all 4 and would never leave one in.What bothers me about this other then the complete lack of customer service is my son was coming off my benefits as he was turning 21. They ended up sending in the charges to my insurance for the filled wisdom tooth (Approx. $170-180) this comes off the limited amount of funds that I had for him for the year. The wisdom tooth extraction, fillings, check up and x rays all came off of the $2500 I had with my insurance. In the end I had to pay for some of the bill out of pocket because the fees for all the services were over. I am able to claim the additional amount I paid out of pocket with my work's FSA fund but that money is also limited for the year and I pay taxes on that money as its considered income".Another note the Covid-19 protocols here are absolutely ridiculous. They called me prior to the appointments to confirm that we had no Covid symptoms which was at least a 5 min conversation of the receptionist listing off about 50 symptoms. She did this both times for our appointments. They also have the public washroom closed off still and the washroom in the mall isn't close.They had called me multiple times to change the appointments on the day of. The day of one of the appointments they called two separate times with two different times for us to come in. Ironic that they call for everything but what I requested.By the look of the reviews this place has definitely went down hill which is unfortunate.Again

Very worest and miserable office manager and owener. They want employees without paying them. Treating employees as a slave even not giving washroom break . I have worked as a dental assistant once for continuously 9 hours got paid for only 4 hours. Please don't work there and don't go as a client .

I have had 2 wonderful experiences with this clinic. The staff is very helpful and kind and the doctor answered all of my questions and was very patient with me. I had a very large filling taken care of yesterday and the doctor was very gentle throughout the procedure. I arrived to my appointment early and was taken back to a room 15 minutes before my appointment! Everyone was efficient and I didn't have to wait at all! My tooth looks great and I have booked appointments for the rest of my family to go to this wonderful clinic!

So I had a filling to get done they drilled my tooth to the point I need a crown to make it even structurally sound I can't even eat food on it it's a money grab and honestly criminal considering the cost of dental

My dental insurance was about to expire. The staff were able to book me in with a full check up, x-rays, inserting a crown, and make a mouth guard all within a week. I was only able to come for my appts after 5 pm, but they made it happen!Excellent service. Dr. Au always is amazing.The girls at the front end were very helpful, kind and accommodating.Thank you for all your help, I truly appreciate it!

0 star if I could. Real crooks ! Never again !Your answer just reveal your incompetence. Before starting treatment you have confirmed insurance coverage. One hour after you talk about payment. no tact in your explanations, no excuses. It's not a matter of $, upset by incompetence...
