Coast Grimshaw Hotel & Suites

The double hot tub rooms are worth the extra money! Great breakfast selection and friendly staff. As of today turndown services is only on Mondays and Wednesdays but if you need anything they're very helpful.A few odd things to mention but they just gave us fun stories to share. So here it is, some of the rooms have full stove and dishwasher but no cutlery and dishes. Other rooms had no stove, just a microwave and plenty of cutlery and dishes. But our room had a nice dishwasher cleaning pod but no dishwasher. Our group stayed in multiple rooms and one of the fridges (in every room!) was not on completely and spoiled our milk, so be sure to check that it's on and cold and not just a light.Pool was also closed as of today.

This was my second time staying in this hotel and it was great both times. The room we stayed in had a king size bed and a pull out couch/bed. There was a kitchen in the suite with a full size fridge, stove, and dishwasher. The room was clean and we enjoyed our stay. One thing I will say is that the breakfast in the morning if you bring plates to your room - this time the lady working there didn't want us to take our plates up because she said they never bring the plates back - that is an issue she should take up with the hotel staff and not put on the guests to have to return the plates. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Severely over priced for what you get!! Management is clearly cutting corners to save money and it shows. Pool was closed and not disclosed at time of booking. Ice machine broken. Breakfast was continental rather than hot due to Covid according to the front desk staff......covid restrictions were over last I heard. Rooms aren't cleaned everyday. Beds were creeky and definitely well used. The overall appearance on the exterior of the property is poor, very little upkeep going on with landscaping and lawn mowing. My room itself was clean. At $155 per night, next time I will drive the extra 10 mins to Peace River.

Loved this hotel. Right when you walk in the door it has a welcoming environment, the rooms are very nice and clean, the showers/bathtubs could use an upgrade but that is getting nitpicky. An especially great thing about this hotel is when I was very hungry late at night after everything had closed and the night staff had allowed me to get some toast from the breakfast room. They have great customer service, their pool is very fun, a great size and has a fun slide. Best hotel in the area for sure.

We stayed at the Pomeroy Inn & Suites during a very tough time. When we registered for our stay, the front desk staff promised to take care of us and they certainly fulfilled their promise. All the staff members were friendly and kind. They went above and beyond in accommodating our needs and the needs of our extended family.The kitchenette room was neat and comfortable. The bed and bedding was some of the coziest I've had at a hotel. The kitchenette was well stocked and very useful over our long stay. The dishwash was very loud so be mindful of that when you choose to run it. The hotel has a great pool and a WONDERFUL continental breakfast. It has smoking rooms but never once did we notice a smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway. The housekeeping staff keep the hotel clean and smelling great.We were at the hotel for a week and it really felt like home for that time.

Good hotel very accommodating to individual needs such as laundry and using their gym or business computers. Breakfast served just before 6 am so if you work at 6/ need to be on the road early they still have hot breakfast ready before advertised depending on who's working. Rooms are good, cleaned well, sometimes have a problem with squeaky pipes in the shower but overall good experience.

AMAZING staff. Traveling with my son's U18 hockey team. Didn't get to the hotel until 1030pm from lacrete. The guys had a game the next day, and if you know hockey jerseys. you know they are a whole other level of WOW that's a odor." Upon asking if the laundry facility was still open to wash the 22 jerseys. The front desk lady went above and beyond with helping get the guys jerseys washed!We will be back again when Traveling with the hockey teams. The king size suite meets all the needs for a hockey parent."

This hotel was amazing! We traveled with a small school group and the staff was super friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was excellent and had a lot of variety and unique options. I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff was. I definitely recommend this hotel!

I stayed at the Pomeroy while in Grimshaw for work. I was pleased with my room, it was nice, clean and well kept. You could not actually control the heat in the room. The only way that it was bearable was to have the window open or the fan going, which blew right over top of the bed. The staff were pretty good here although, not overly friendly or personable. The fitness centre was alright but with very few pieces of equipment, it was disappointing that a couple pieces were sitting broken.Overall, I would not rate anything more than 3 stars unless some efforts were put into some of the small things that can make a hotel great.

Love staying here! I work in the area often and always stay here. Rooms are great and has a great kitchen. Every morning I come down to get a coffee and greated by the nicest staff. Makes my day. Thank you!
