I have known Heather in various professional capacities for over 30 years. She is the wisest and most compassionate therapist I know. I work as a Grief Counsellor (part of Heather's business) and she is my go to" person when I want a second opinion. She is always offers very sound input that I find extremely helpful. Good therapy involves such a level of trust between client and therapist and that builds up over time and Heather builds that carefully. She truly cares about her clients and their well-being. I would absolutely trust her with any issue I struggled with. I would trust her with my life."

Professional, honest, sincere and sympathetic therapist ... I regard my time spent with Ms. Rennie to have been incredibly helpful in addressing my problems. I would not hesitate a blink in recommending her to anyone in need of counselling. Alexander

Ruined our marriage, which we came to save. (We both lasted 2 sessions first time, but later agreed with my husband that it's not helping much), but later my husband returned. After unknown amount of one-on-one sessions with my husband, he was told to divorce me(!), as they concluded that I'm a passive-aggressive narcissist, who uses silent treatment, gas-lighting and blame shifting.Dear Heather Rennie, I'm unloved, dragged into conflicts despite my will and therefore stressed out wife (with 2 kids), unable to deal with it any longer I resorted to just hang in there" mode. My attempt to defend myself are called "blame shifting"

Heather designed and led a 12-week grief support group at our church in 2019. It was very well received by the participants, who grew very close and still keep in touch with one another. Heather is a well-organized, sincere, thoughtful and compassionate person. Although she has extensive training, she loves to learn and continues to add to her skills. I am pleased to refer people to her private practice whenever congregants from our church are in need of professional counselling. I trust her judgment in challenging situations and have seen the way she has handled herself with difficult people: calmly, generously, and honestly. It was because of her excellent work with the grief group that I invited her to join me in overseeing the 20 other small groups at our church. She has great ideas and advice, and I really value her opinion. I highly recommend that you give her a call if you're looking for a trustworthy counsellor for yourself or your family!Pastor Jennifer Friesen

My now former partner and I met with Heather Rennie for two sessions in late 2021. I believe that our relationship would have benefited from working with a couples counselor who supported us in creating an ongoing safe space to explore our issues. That did not happen. It is my opinion that working with Heather caused irreparable damage to our relationship due a lack of session structure, an inability to foster constructive dialogue and limited patience or tools to deal with relational conflict.I reached out via email to Heather to share my concerns about my experience of her counseling but she did not respond. I feel this could be correlated to a willingness to take sides, being that she continued to work with my former partner without my knowledge after our sessions. I would not recommend her services as a couples counselor to anyone, especially those seeking a trauma-informed practice.

Heather is a fantastic counselor and she led many online support groups for cancer patients and families across Canada. Feedback from patients and families for Heather's work ranges from excellent to outstanding.

My husband and I have been seeing Heather for just over a year now, starting in November 2021. We absolutely love our sessions with her. We both feel we have an opportunity to speak and be heard and she does a great job of ensuring we are truly understanding what the other is communicating. Every time we go for a session, my husband and I come out feeling like a weight has been lifted, more open, and more connected with each other. We both appreciate her so much that we have been seeing her individually as well on occasion. Heather was recommended to me and I would, and have, happily recommended her to any of my family or friends who are looking for counselling services, whether that be personal or marital.

I had the privilege of working alongside Heather for a number of years in her various roles within BC Cancer, and always found her to be extremely knowledgeable and capable in whatever capacity she fulfilled.Heather is highly committed to improving the lives of others, which when allied to her caring and thoughtful approach, alongside her strong clinical abilities, would lead me to unreservedly recommend her services.David G. I have worked with Heather for many years at BC Cancer. In both her personal and professional lives, and as a colleague, she is gentle, compassionate, ethical and conscientious. Heather is always trying to improve on and develop her skills to serve clients. She reflects on her practice and seeks consultation when she feels it could be helpful. The highest compliment I can give her is that I would never hesitate to recommend and refer others to her.
