Sid Academy

Highly recommend this school!! Can’t say enough good things about it. Not sure where the negative reviews are coming from. At first, I too was hesitant about enrolling here but jeez I am glad I made the decision. I recently graduated from the Sid Academy and I am heading off to university this winter! Ms. Anjum saved my grade and my future. She’s the best teacher I could’ve ever asked for always so caring, and accommodating and available to my needs. Really love and recommend this school to anyone wanting to fast track out of high school!

Love this school, I was a student here last year and when Ms Anjum relocated in Whitby I was so shook and wanted to get in touch with her!! I am grateful to have been her student and the things I learned from her will never be forgotten. I would send all my friends here if I could but we off to uni ya'll :)

I originally signed up for the advanced functions and calculus course but after my experience in the advanced functions course I decided to find somewhere else to continue my studies. I found her to be very unprofessional due to her lack of punctuality. She would often reschedule classes last minute. Most of my questions were left unanswered. One time when she did help me with a question she taught me the wrong technique which resulted in me filling out an entire assignment incorrectly and I had to redo the assignment. She overpromised how many courses I could finish by the time of my graduation so I had no choice but to find another school to do my calculus course. I had previously done advanced functions and came to Ms. Anjum to redo the course in hopes for a better understanding but I found her course to be lacking material to say the least. We skipped over many important concepts. It should be noted I did not pay for a condensed version of the class but rather the full thing so there was no reason to skip over concepts. I would not recommend attending this school.

This place deserves 10 stars!! I would be willing to bet that you won’t be able to find a more affordable school than this!! Teachers are awesome so full of life and energy and their more than just teachers! I literally consider Ms. Anjum as my guidance counsellor, my therapist and even my closet teacher friend !!

Literally a futuristic school program.. undoubtedly one of the best schools in Whitby. When we visited the school for the first time and were given a tour of the school by their friendly and cooperative staff, we were quite impressed by the thoughtful and positive introduction. I can’t wait for my daughter to start her program!

Great interactive learning environment. Would definitely recommend for a better learning experience.

My daughter was at this school for a english and she has special needs. She suffers from ADHD and cognitive learning disorders. Ms. Anjum was so helpful and if it wasn’t for her guidance we wouldn’t have been able to pass grade 11 English. So thankful to her service

When you walk into Sid Academy, you will automatically feel welcomed and at home. Students can feel comfortable knowing there are smaller class sizes and the teacher can focus on each of their individual needs in a better way. The number one priority at Sid Academy are the student's futures. They are treated with respect and they can also have fun and be themselves knowing they're apart of a school family. My nephew is very excited to attend this school and he has made a great group of friends. He enjoys his experience here and I’m so grateful that his teacher is someone who really cares.

Find a school that challenges you enough to feed your “love of learning”, acknowledge your individuality, and guide you to “do the right thing” and THIS school is the perfect place for that. If you are looking for a place for your child in this general area, I highly recommend you stop in for a tour.
