Pak Tak Thiu Chow Restaurant

Like the other two stalls on this wall, this is a general Hong Kong Chinese food restaurant. It has premade and warmed food under glass. They have similar prices to the other two stalls but usually have slightly different food options. They usually have pork belly however. Food is ok, tasty but hardly healthy. Staff are quick to serve and always up selling. Near the end of the day they offer up specials like three full containers for twenty. Depending on the time of day you can experience brand new food or warmed for quite awhile. Parking is available from each lot around the mall. Transit comes from the nearby Canada line stop of Aberdeen. There are also two bus stops nearby.

Inconsistent, some customers get more food for the same price.

The taste is around-or-below average

An average tasting food court place for Chinese food where they give you very generous portions of quantity over quality food. Edible, decent, but of mediocre quality. One of the potatoes in my soup was a bit discolored/black but it does the job of feeding you. $14.00 for a three item combo with complimentary veggies and soup which can feed two people. Service is kind. Nothing spectacular here, but you will be very full for an affordable price.Tried the fish which was real whole fish parts and tender, but of average taste. The sweet and sour pork tasted a bit off with a cooking wine taste. Honey garlic pork ribs were okay but a bit rough tasting. Fried rice was on the drier side with dehydrated frozen veggies. Great portion size though and the complimentary veggies were fresh.

Up to this moment, this is the only one shop I give one star. Quite a lot of unstated conditions apply when you purchase their dishes. It will be better to make clear different conditions in black and white at the outset. Otherwise there will be a lot of unnecessary disputes and customers will leave with exasperation. This will also tarnish a store's reputation and make its staff feel stressed and aggrieved.If you are going to visit this store, you better enquire about the conditions before choosing your dishes.After all, their Dong Po Meat worths a try. Their sweet and sour pork is also good. However, the experience is too bad to be mitigated by the taste.

Visit this Store around 7:30pm, bought couple food but it had no taste or could say below below average, I took couple bite but need to throw it away, don't recommend paying money for this kind quality of food.

Taste is bad as well as its value.Meat dish is 17 dollars.The Curry chicken dish with mostly potato in there. 5/6 pieces of chicken at best.Mind as well sit in at a restaurant.

You will be treated a 3rd class customer, if not speaking Cantonese. Not first time here, but tonight visit was a total ripping off. 4 pieces braised pork slices with 2 cheap veggies at $15. Not giving choice to ask what veggie you prefer, they just add those not selling at all to your plate. I did not argue as there are other customer at scene. We all know time is hard and we came here to support local eatery because your cuisine style is unique. But keeps this up then we won't be back.

Updated review. Third time here now. Gets better every time!Tonight was the best!Great tasty tofu, eggplant was screaming flavour, veg dark green and cooked well w a bite.Very very happy!

I cannot stay away!!!I don't live/work in Richmond so it is a rare treat for me to come here for a meal. But every time I find myself in Richmond, I always get something to eat from here.While this restaurant can be easily exchangeable from the 2 next to it, the highlight of this place is the lady who serves you.Almost a decade ago when I was here, I ordered 3 meat dishes with noodle. She looked at me once and then gave me a piece of vegetable (gai lan?) on the house. I never had that kind of experience from anywhere else!And today, I got 3 item combo (all meat) to eat at the food court. After finishing it, I decided to get one more for home. When I ordered another 3 item combo to go, she added a small piece of meat I had ordered 10 min ago.So much has changed but the lady who serves there has not!I hope to come back here more often as my schedule would allow!
