The Gardener provides a hassle free experience. We set up an agreed timeline in the spring and invoices were sent electronically and paid the same way. Never have any issues.

We hired this company with the intent to do some extensive landscaping around our property this summer. Our main priority was a large privacy hedge in the front of our house but in order for them to agree just to trim it we had to hire them to do what they were calling a spring clean up. They arrived and did an excellent job on about 25% of the property while the other 75% remained untouched and still tried to charge us full price. The hedge was never trimmed. When I contacted the company the owner reached out to me who said he’d have his people come by and finish the work. It’s been almost 2 months since then and I’ve contacted them a few times leaving messages but they’ve never returned my call or came to finish the work.

Rob, Pam and their team made my property look amazing. They really care and take the time needed unlike my other company that rushed around and never returned my calls. I highly recommend The Gardener Halifax!

Terrible service. We used them for some basic landscaping last summer and were generally happy with the work (even though it took them a while to actually do it and they had to come back to fix a couple of things), so we asked to be put on their list for some lawn treatments for this spring. We did this almost a YEAR in advance and when we called in early April to schedule our work, we were told that they were very busy but someone would get to it. After calling at least five more times over the past couple of months, we were promised that the work would be done by the end of last week. Not done. We called back and were given the runaround again and told that they are very busy and they had no idea when they would get around to us. We understand that some of this work is weather dependent and that this is a busy time of year but no one from the company has ever called us back or provided any definite answers to any of our questions. We were especially disappointed because we had done everything well in advance to ensure the proper window for treatments.Really really bad customer service. We've cancelled our account and we're going with someone else. Don't use The Gardener if you actually want any work completed.

Terrible experience with this company. The quality of work was sub par. They kept trying to change the terms of the contract after we had agreed upon a price. They never actually did the work they agreed to do. Lots of false promises. Ended up needing to go with another company that was reliable. Strongly recommend you look elsewhere for you lawn and winter maintenance needs.

I have tried several different gardening support firms in HRM, and had dealt with a lot of frustration and disappointments. The Gardener Team was the complete opposite. The team lead, Pam, came out and walked through our yard with me and listened to my objectives, provided great suggestions and then deliverred on the plan. The regular work teams led by Jessie, Annie and Alexandra were really hard workers who wasted no time and delivered on a wonderful garden clean up, yard maintenance and especially garden care. I cannot wait to see the new bulbs come up this spring, the anticipation is killing me. Highly recommend the Gardener Team to anyone looking for exceptional yard support and care.

After my original Review the Owner of The Gardener contacted us to let us know they had some staffing changes and that they were not being made aware of our issues .They have returned to site and are fixing all the deficiencies and are standing behind there work .

The Gardener is amazing! I was away for most of the summer caring for my sick mother and I couldn't take care of my gardens... they were a mess! So my husband arranged for Pam and Rob to come and do a clean up! When they heard my Mom passed away, they came and planted mums in my garden. I will never forget their kindness.

This company recently absorbed RNS Landscaping where we originally called to have a quote from. We called 4 weeks ago to have someone provide a quote for the work we had in mind. They took my info and the following Monday Richard set up and appointment with us. The appointment came he took the necessary info for the quote and said he would have it to us next week. That was 3 weeks ago. We have called, left voice 2 mails and finally called the main line and got a hold of the receptionist who said Richard was about to leave but she would remind him and get him to send the numbers over today or the following Monday. That was a week ago.Totally annoyed with the waste of time this has turned out to be, if you are too busy say so. If you get a voice mail, return it. If you say you will do a quote, do it. If you are unable to do it get someone who can.Update:We have seen your reply. Just letting you know we have yet to receive any quote. When I called last week I was told everything was done they just needed to send it, but no one has.
