The Frying Pan Diner

What we did eat was delicious. However we got there at 1045am, no where on the menu does it say breakfast is only served until 11, they waited 30 min to tell us there were no more hash browns. For a place that closes from 2pm to 4pm you would think breakfast would be offered straight until 2. None of the tables were wiped between guests, our table was filthy. 1 girl working the entire restaurant and rushed off her feet so service as a result was not good. Lastly, no air conditioning or even an open window. It was ridiculously hot and stuffy in there. Lots of people came in wanting breakfast after 11 (because it’s a diner) and all left.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely meal of fish and chips. He had haddock, I had cod. Both were amazing. We also tried a couple sides; calamari and deep fried mushroom. Absolutely excellent. Everything was cooked to perfection.

Really amazing fish and chips! The ice tea was delicious also! Good portion size. It’s BUSY, so be sure to go early or expect to wait a bit for a table. Once you place your order, it’s prepared quickly. Excellent service.

Haddock and fries, chicken wings. Large portion of fish, food was excellent, highly recommend.

Food and service were both good. I had the kebab burger and quite enjoyed it. That said, if I had to be picky, I was a little disappointed that the burger was really just a regular burger with very slightly different seasoning. Other than that, it was great. Would definitely come back.

Just returned home from a fantastic dinner.....I love fish and chips and have finally found some that are more fish then thick batter. The batter is nice light and crisp. The portions are very generous. When it came to the table it was so hot and fresh we had to wait a couple minutes for first bite believe it was worth it. The staff was super friendly but not hovering........way to go keep up the great work...finally a good place to eat nearby......worth every penny

Had a great breakfast. All 4 of us not only enjoyed our meals and were glad to have too many sausages so we could take home. They were really tasty. Service was fast and friendly. No line up but pretty full at 10am on a Saturday. Our 3 year old love the strawberry milk. Will be back for dinner soon.

Being their first weekend open, it was quite busy which is a good sign. Quick service, food was fresh, hot and served after a short wait. Halibut, cod and haddock on the fish n' chips menu, I tried the halibut and it was fresh and tasty. Some menu items not yet available, looking forward to coming back to try the breakfast, looks good being served. Anticipate trying all the sandwiches and wraps when they're avaliable. Prices seem fair. Glad to have a fish fry place to visit without having to drive to the city. I hope they do well!Edited to add:Now that they have sandwiches, I got to try a BLT with home fries and the sandwich was great! Just enough bacon, cooked the way I like it. Still impressed by the fair prices, service again was great even though they were busy. My friend got the big breakfast and said they enjoyed it. Will be a regular treat when visitors are in town!
