Very lucky to have this place. You wait and they take you in order of urgency. I'm happy to know if my pet was in a dire situation they would take us first so if we wait we wait. They tell you all costs upfront. Of course it costs more than you're regular vet. It's an emergency vet clinic and that is normal. People are up all night to provide this service. They also explain everything and email you follow up information so you know exactly what to do.

I am in no way bashing the attendants working the night I came, they were very polite and very well-meaning.That being said, just go to Canan Hills. I'm sorry, but the wait times are ridiculous if your pet isn't Dying Right Now. I got quoted 4 hours just to get my pet inside, it took an hour to sign a clipboard and another one of being ignored until I found alternate accommodations for my pet. If your pet can last 12-24 hours, go to your regular vet. If they can't, go to Canan. Even if it's a longer drive, they're amazing and fast and I believe around the same price range... $195 + tax just for the consultation here.Cheers for the maybe 3 staff members working tonight, I totally get it. But if your pet isn't literally dying, I'd just go somewhere else.

We lost our Great Pyrenees, Daisy, on Saturday night and the Vet and staff were so caring and compassionate to not only our Daisy Girl, but to us as well. When all the Emergency Hospitals from Agonquin to Peterborough to Whitby were at capacity and could not take her having Grand Mal Seizures, Quinte Hospital said to bring her right in. We live north of Bancroft, and she had another seizure in the car on the way down. They sedated her and made her so comfortable with us while we made the hardest decision. We thank you for taking us in our state of emergency and giving our girl the caring end she deserved.

Amazing staff very compassionate to Princess us her family that is. The team were very calming and reassuring that our fur baby would be okay and she is thanks to your help guys. The vet took the time to explain what was happening to her to us and made sure we both understood and how to administer her meds. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you again guys job well done by you all. Princess is almost back to her old self and eating well, but insist on being spoon fed, she deserves it and short walks for now. Thank you again. God bless you all stay safe n be well Princess, Xpress, pusskat sister, mom n dad aka Marie n Bob

We had to take our dog here and he is very skittish but I was very impressed by the way we were greeted when we walked in the door it was a quick fix but something that I couldn’t seem to do at home or possibly the right way the cost for us was next to nothing so asked if I could tip them they didn’t want my money but said if I’d like I could make a donation to the Farley fund my apologies if that not the correct name so I did and was also impressed for what the fund was used for ……..thank you for what yous do

Despite a race to the clinic, nothing could be done to save my best friend. From the time we arrived everyone was quick to provide care, and relieve her pain. The condolence card with nose and paw prints was so very thoughtful. Thank you

My dog was treated quickly, given that this is an emergency clinic with priority given based on severity of issue. Everyone was professional, thorough and caring. A wonderful clinic to have available when you're away from home!

I took our Cain Terrier “Kaila” to emergency clinic for flaking skin, hair loss and skin infections. Because her condition was not life threatening there was a long wait, but it was well worth it. We were given antibiotics and a lot of written information. It has only been four days and all her skin lesions are gone except for a small one on her chest. Right choice of antibiotics. Very pleased with the healing process. Was definitely the right choice in bring her to the clinic. This condition has been going on for some time now and know it will be some more time to heal.Thank-you sooo much !!!!

It was a tough day when we took Levi to the emergency clinic. The staff were efficient as they safely took Levi in right away. While it wasn’t the news that we wanted to hear, Dr. Pounder was so caring as she explained everything to us. She made sure we had all the time we needed and helped us through a really difficult time. The girls were great and we felt comfort to have received such compassion during a time that is so hard.Thank you,
