After many people said it was good, and based on the hype, I finally decided to give this place a try. I’m Italian so I wasn’t expecting it to be better than home however, for the absurd pricing, I expected better. My advertised 45$ pasta and meat duo became 65$ after the waiter came to tell me the price changed. How ironic, 20$ more out of the blue. I accepted it because I wasn’t in an argumentative mood and didn’t want to ruin our outing. The best thing about the meal was the burrata (not the tomatoes they were tasteless) and the tortellini soup of the day. The steak with peppercorn sauce I ordered medium well and got it medium, completely drenched in sauce, you’d almost think it was the soup of the day (see photo). The side dish of pasta it came with was not good. I make tomato sauce yearly and this sauce tasted like acidic tomatoes out of a can blended and served with 0 seasoning with a bad aftertaste. Service was ok—friendly but just the bare minimum. You can tell it’s the of place to serve, get tipped, prep for next clients, & repeat. Cozy-ish vibe but nothing spectacular.People use 5 stars way too loosely in Montreal these days.

Very good service but the food is very expensive and not that incredible. I was advised to take the lasagna because it was freshly done. But i wasn’t impressed by it. It would have been nice to have the lasagna dressed with salad maybe or something else. The place is very nice.

One of the best Italian restaurant you can find in town! Simple but so delicious! The burrata was so fresh, perfectly matches with the tomatoes dipped in the olive oil.Oh and the veal ravioli... 100%Highly recommended!

We had a business dinner with clients and it was enjoyed by everyone. The roasted piglet was interesting to order, I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a cross section with crispy skin and delicious, juicy different types of meat. The sauce was rich and enhanced the meal. The lemon ice cream was a perfect way to end the meal, refreshing, light and creamy after a rich entree. My only issue was how warm it was in the area. The service was very prompt and friendly. The ambience was very cool with the stone columns and wood tree trunks fire ceiling beams.

Da Emma is a delightful gem that offers truly authentic Italian cuisine. The beauty of their dishes lies in their simplicity, staying true to the essence of Italian cooking. The smoked salmon appetizer was a delightful starter that showcased the perfect balance of flavors. The combination of the smoked salmon, arugula, and a touch of lemon juice created a refreshing and satisfying appetizer that prepared our taste buds for the main course. The mushroom pasta was executed with great finesse, striking the right balance between richness and subtlety. The velvety, creamy sauce allowed the earthy flavors of the mushrooms to shine through, resulting in a memorable pasta dish that was deeply satisfying. We complemented our meal with a glass of red wine, which added another layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. It truly felt like a celebration, as if we were being treated to a special homemade meal by an Italian mother on a joyous occasion.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Da Emma, an exceptional Italian restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable culinary experience. The fettuccini ai fungi porcini that I ordered was nothing short of outstanding - perfectly cooked pasta, generously coated in a delicious, creamy mushroom sauce that had just the right amount of earthy, savory flavor. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable - attentive and knowledgeable, without being intrusive. The wine list was extensive, with plenty of options to complement any meal. Overall, I cannot recommend Da Emma highly enough - five stars all the way!

Such a fantastic place. Amazing food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. The complimentary bruschetta and bread was such a pleasant, delicious surprise. You can tell that each ingredient used is top quality. The lamb and gorgonzola cheese ravioli were the stars of the show (not photographed because we dug into it immediately). Highly recommend!

Best authentic Italian restaurant I have been.Everything is made freshly on the day by Emma. It's a family owned restaurant. They are open everyday except for Saturday'sEverything they serve you is imported from Italy directly. This is considered a 5 star restaurant so $$$+As soon as you are seated and ordered they bring you a slice of bruschetta and also fresh bread with oil and vinegarIf you go here you must have the gorgonzola ravioli, the burrata, the peppercorn steak, the lamb, the pistochio turtufo etc ..The best burrata ive had, and I've been to many places, it's crazy how fresh the cheese is.Everything on the menu is very good from the entrees to the desserts. The hardest part about going here is to make a decision on to what to get and not to over order. The soup of the day changes everytime and always so yummy.Always served well no complain about thatIt's always full when you go, to get reservations you need to call themIn the summer they also have a big patio outside. They also have free of charge valet parking. This place is located undergroundThis place is perfect for couples and also for but groups. If you loved authentic Nona made food this is the place to go.Definitely a must try, I would off given it 5*+ if I could

The atmosphere is very nice, brick walls and intimate setting. Highly recommend for those dark moody pictures and one on one dates. Went on a Saturday night. The waiters were polite. You get free bread and bruschetta which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, most of the dishes were bland. I was disappointed with both my entré and main course. The tomato sauce for the pastas are extremely bland, pretty much tastes like just cooked crushed tomato. The portions for most of the antipasti and pasta dishes were quite frugal. The stuffed raviolis come in 4 pieces. For the price they are listed at, it's extremely disappointing. I do not recommend the fettuccine ai funghi porcini, I was extremely disappointed by this dish. Bland, oily, no flavor.Out of all the pastas, I'd say the best one is the medallion al gorgonzola, but I have to admit that you do not really taste any of the gorgonzola in the sauce, it mostly tasted like cream. The burrata was good. The meatballs were cooked well but bland and the tomato sauce it comes with is also bland. The veal dish was good. The sirloin steak is covered in sauce, you can barely recognize what you're eating. The fish is what you'd expect. Nothing special or crazy about it.All and all, wouldn't go back unless to get pictures. Most of the food is disappointing and overpriced.

Amazing service, fabulous staff, very caring staff who gave us absolutely free dessert. The food was very unique & fresh. I have tried many Italian restaurants in Montreal. This is the finest Italian I ever had. I highly recommend everyone to try this restaurant. It'll be memorable.
