Great to deal with

Recently contacted this company on the direction of a water supply manufacturer regarding a warranty issue. The manufacturer, Viqua said this company is one of their distributors and can fulfill my warranty claim. After calling this company the individual who answered the phone said that they do not cover warranty claims on products not purchased from them directly. I explained to this individual that they would be completely reimbursed for the cost of the product by the manufacturer and even supplied them with the manufacturer’s direct phone number and warranty claim number given to me by the manufacturer in case the company had any questions .The individual “looked into it” and said they have never heard of this before and that there would be “nothing in it for them” to supply me with a replacement product they never sold me. They also eluded to the amount of paperwork that would be involved and that it would basically be a waste of their time.This IS the manufacturer’s warranty process for claims for this product that you do sell, regardless of where they are purchased .This company did not even call the manufacturer to clarify the process. They merely told me they couldn’t help me. I then called a different supplier, Wolseley, also given to me by the manufacturer and was immediately taken care of without question.I would suggest that you familiarize your company’s employees with the warranty claim processes for the products you sell. Just because there may be “nothing in it for you” monetarily, customer service and satisfaction should be your primary concern as a business.
