New Century Restaurant
I've had dinner here twice; the food is absolutely delicious & plentiful and the prices are good. Like all small businesses, they're suffering from a lack of staff, so you may have to wait for your food a little longer than you'd want ...but the food is definitely worth the wait, and the staff they do have are super nice. They do a brisk take-out business, but it's a pleasant place to sit-in, as well, and can easily accommdate large groups (give them a heads-up, tho). It's one of new favourite places in Grand Forks.

First time trying New Century Restaurant, I found it to be a pleasant experience. I had the 3 item Chinese combo and coffee for lunch. However, I would have been more pleased if the combo had a bigger portion on fried rice. I will be back to try their weekend buffet at some point.Cheers

Second time eating here. The food is very good, large portions and a reasonable price. This time had palace chicken, medium Wor wonton and Singapore rice noodles. Way too much even for 2 people. Noodles could have used more curry and some onion, ginger and garlic but others would find it already punchy enough. Chicken and soup were spot on. Will go back next time through.

If I could give this restaurant a -5 I would. Terrible customer service. Asked for a beverage menu and told that I should just order whatever, no beverage menu. No way to know what the costs were. Asked for coffee. Waited 10 minutes and had to ask again. Given creamer but no sugar so then I had to ask for sugar. No smiles from the staff, treated like an annoyance.The video game noises from a young family member were loud and obtrusive. I asked the hostess" if she could turn the music on and was told that "the radio is broken".Brought out my meal (a 1 person combo) and put it in the middle of the table with a serving spoon stuck into it and side plates. It was luke warm despite being just served. Did not bring out other items at the same time so I was forced to wait to eat or eat before my invited Christmas guest (oh yeah

Went with the family for all you can eat. I was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of vegetable dishes and fish. I found it to be really good and the chow mein was very fresh and tasty.

The buffet is back!! Which is such a nice option that other Chinese restaurants in town don't offer.. It's all going to come down to personal opinion when there is 2 options, so it's things like the buffet that make New Century a better option.

Food took forever, all the meat was dried out n tough. Restaurant was very warm, no air movement. Both bathrooms needed attention, they couldnt care less, after mentioning...And glasses of water were a rare commodity....NEVER AGAIN

They have smorgasbord on the weekends. The food was fresh and tasty. It was very nice to go out and it wasn't crowded. The people were very attentive.
