See Reply from owner and this is my response to them:I am sad to hear that Matt got hurt and that he had Covid. However, courtesy still dictates a call be made by someone to those customers that were to be attended to during that time. Just leaving a person wondering if you will show up is not good. But I do appreciate this reply to better understand why i was ignored. None of this takes away from the obvious skills that Matt has to carefully take down trees, and in fact I have referred two people to him since this post (with a caveat of course about his non-reply to me).Have to add an edit: Please read this as well as the prior positive one:I contacted Matt about a tall dangerous tree on our property and wanted an opinion on how/if it can come down. We arranged a time for him to look, after i finished some errands i had to run, but when I sent a text that I was home he said he could not come. Said he would come a few days later. NEVER SHOWED UP, NEVER CALLED, NEVER TEXTED. This seems to be so common now since Covid...people say one thing and never bother to actually do it, and I am tired of it. Hence I am leaving a bad review now. I had him come to remove trees before and also for an emergency removal early this year when trees fell onto our house. I would think SOME respect to me should be shown and at least contact me if unable to make the appointment so i am not waiting around wondering. COURTESY is lacking. It is now five days since he said he would show up and no call or anything.WE had three trees that needed to come down. One dead hemlock was close to a lot of electrical overhead wires. Matt made it look simple to take it down. Another was in very steep terrain and quite near the house, pool and our bridge over a creek, so my concern was making sure it was taken down accurately. Again Matt made it look simple. The trickiest one was a partly dead hemlock that was cracked and in the midst of one of our gardens and one of our koi ponds. We did not want to see any damage to the pond, the rockwork, or the plants under and around the tree. Again Matt took this tree down with absolutely no damage at all. Travis who works with Matt was meticulous in the cleanup. I was left with NOTHING to cleanup which I truly appreciate.I would very highly recommend Give and Take Tree service for any job you need done and I will most certainly hire them again for the next job at our place.

We are very happy with the service we received, Matt came & did a quote for us & within a week did the job, very reasonable price for the work we needed done they showed up on time, great crew, very friendly & was extra cautious with our turf grass & covered with matts. We are very happy with their service & will definitely use them again.

We are very happy with the work that Give and Take did. They are very knowledgeable and professional. The appointment was set in a timely manner and the workers showed up on time. The work was done safely and efficiently, not to mention the clean up after everything was completed. We've used their services twice and will use them again in the future.

Matt was by far the fastest to respond when I contacted several arborists for quotes on a tree removal and this was a big part of the reason we went with Give and Take in the end. We had a very large, very dead cedar removed from directly next to our home. He and his crew were very efficient and removed the tree with speed and confidence. On request, his crew even made a huge chair from the stump for my kids to enjoy. I would use them again and recommend them to others!

Everyone we talked to was great from start to finish!Today the team showed up at the exact minute we could begin to expect them. They were available for a last minute wood chipping job. They were professional, efficient and polite. Left the driveway clean of debris, Would recommend.

The guys from Give and Take did a great job of taking down our trees. They were careful to make sure the trees were taken down safely and without any damage to our property. We highly recommend this company: Friendly, honest and reliable. Did a great job of trimming our HUGE spruce tree and removed almost all of the debris, while working in snowy conditions. Came back a few days later, once the snow melted, and removed everything that was left in the yard and on the street. Great job!
