Alliance Française Vancouver

I really value the wonderful teachers and librarian they have here. I always look forward to speaking with the people I have met through the Alliance. It is so nice to be learning French in this way, through conversation with other francophiles. There are so many cultural events that I am interested in and it has enriched my life many times over. Although I had originally planned to be there in person, COVID has brought us all online and I have been very pleasantly surprised by how the cultural center has taken advantage of this situation to leverage international discussions and presentations and cultural opportunities, and even to bring us digital resources and art. I am happy that I have been able to participate online with such a vibrant cultural center. I highly recommend them!

Excellent teacher, very positive learning environment, even online lessons are full of fun! I've been looking for more chances to listen to and speak French, and AF provides a very supportive environment where you not only learn from teachers but also peers. I absolutely recommend it to anyone who's interested in French!

French classes for everyone. Temporarily in different location near marine drive station. They have a library. Cafe circle and movie... Teachers are friendly and motivating the kids to learn. Books provided when registering for the term and level. No classes in summer except summer camps for kids.

I love the Alliance Francaise classes - they are structured, yet informal enough to feel very comfortable. The instructors are fabulous, and great attention is given to ensure you are enrolled in the correct level. In particular I love the workshops which are a great way to get a condensed version of a grammar point or subject in two, two-hour sessions. Money well spent.

Alliance Française is a great language institute for improving your French. I think the price is also so worth it. The people at Alliance Française are always nice and it's always a pleasure to talk to them and to learn from them. They also offer online lessons which work much better for me since my schedule is all over the place. Their in-person lessons are also just as good (I have tried both). I highly recommened Alliance Francaise.

Interesting and engaging courses (even with the subjective disadvantage of being exclusively online for adults) and fun cultural events that are open to everyone. The library also has a great selection of modern and classic French content.

This is an excellent French language school. They teach children and adults. My teenager is doing very well in his classes there. The office staff are really organized and communication is great.

I paid for TEF prep on May 1st but I have not received the login details yet. Sent email on May 9th no response. Is this a real business?

I had a super experience with the online class. Yann is a very fun and keen french teacher. It makes learning a language much easier than we think. He is patient and attentive with all students, making sure we understand all the steps necessary to improve our French. The staff at the alliance française are also very friendly and helpful to all new and old students.

I signed up for a class at level A1.3 at L' Alliance Francaise after self-studying for a while. It was hard at first because I did not expect that the class would be 100% in French. I was almost about to give up after the first 2 classes but I'm glad I didn't. If you feel the same, please keep going because after the first 2 classes, your brain will pick up the language and get used to it. My teacher, Nathalie, is great. She makes learning fun and engaging which is difficult to do for an evening online course. I also find the structure of the textbook is great. The amount of grammar and vocabulary per lesson is reasonable.I would highly recommend L'Alliance Francais to everyone who wants to learn French either as a hobby or for a job.
