Had the best sandwich - the Italian waffle one with pesto - and loved that I could have it with a glass of wine. The staff was super friendly and observant of Covid protocols. Lovely location to boot. Will definitely return.Update: this place has been on a steady decline since my review. The sandwiches getting slapped together with meager ingredients (my brie and tomato panini never saw a press, had one slice of tomato per side, and a smidge at best of brie). I can't blame the employees as it's usually two teenagers doing their best. Really disappointing.

A wonderful outdoor spot in the park with trees, the fountain and lots of entertaining squirrels! Good selection of light meals and snacks. The waffle-iron BLT was especially delicious. Hot and cold beverages, alcohol available. Prices are a bit steep but that was expected and I’ll definitely be back regardless.

Cute spot in the middle of down town in a quiet park with a view of the fountain. We got a limo bade and a London dog and they were both good! We took our drinks and watched the sunset by the locks !

Finally - a place to buy lunch or anything in one of Ottawa’s downtown parks. The NCC has created a nifty spot for lunch or snack or coffee. We had sandwiches and salad plus an amazing brownie. Price wasn’t bad and the park atmosphere was rather European. Good to see a steady stream of customers from tourists to office workers to construction workers. Great idea NCC.

We visited at around 3:00PM two weeks or three weeks ago. It is a decent Café. A little bit expensive but other than that The Coffees and Drinks were okay. Only thing they need was more desserts since most of them were gone. Also we had to wait for our drinks right beside while some had theirs delivered. Which is a little bit weird.A little bit messy as well. There were beer bottles still on tables. They need to address that as well.Would possibly try again in the near future!

Love the idea of having smaller cafes/bars in Ottawa’s parks. You can get sandwiches, Stella Luna gelato and more! And more importantly, they also sell beer, cocktails and wine. The sangria wasn’t very strong considering the price.

Ordered a sandwich that never came. Tried to get a refund, which 1) wouldn’t go through and 2) wouldn’t include a refund on the tip (ironically). Given the meh quality of the food, they can’t really afford to also have terrible service. Nice spot though.

2022 June updateSimple and basic. Coffee was not that great but considering it’s a pretty quiet and ambiant park to sip and drink in peace.

I ordered a BLT and it was nothing like a decent pub BLT. This one was very greasy and very light on ingredients. I was with a friend who ordered an Italian sandwich. His was just as bad. Another friend who ordered a pre-made ham type sandwich was the only one who got a half way decent meal. His sandwich was much better and less expensive.
