They both have an abundance of knowledge, super professional and patient (new to guitar). We can’t thank you all enough for having amazing staff and product! We have and will continue to go to this store and visit our trusted and favourite salesmen!

I'm happy with their friendly services after visiting several times. Matthew is great to talk to along with the others. We're lucky to have such a down to earth music store in Edmonton.

Normally I don't expect much out of a large chain store but I have to say, the service here blew my mind. I came in looking for a specific audio rental for a video project I was doing - something not exactly their specialty but I was running out of luck elsewhere.A solution didn't immediately present itself, so at this point I expect to hear the classic - 'Oh, sorry, we can't help you'. Matthew at the rental counter however was determined to find me a solution, looking around the store and even cracking open a couple boxes of new product off the shelf to test out with my kit. Eventually, just as things were looking dire, another rentals associate came to the rescue, remembering he once saw a random microphone kit tucked away on a shelf collecting dust on the sales floor. He tracked it down and sure enough it was exactly the system I needed. They cracked open the box to ensure it would work for me, and sent me on my way with a killer rental deal.These guys saved my bacon when it would have been extremely easy to just give up and say no, we don't have what you're looking for. Instead, the two rentals associates Matthew and the other fellow (sorry I forget his name) went WAY above and beyond to find a solution for me.6-stars for this store and for these guys. I don't rent a lot of audio specific stuff normally, but when I do they will always have my business.

Friendly, amazing staff! My wife bought me my first ever drum kit. Adam Hoang was the sales associate in the drum/percussion department who assisted her. She saw a boxing day price for a kit but came back a few days later. Price tag was still same but wasn't on boxing sale anymore. Adam went above and beyond to make sure she still gets the sale price. Great customer service, not just Adam but every staff in the store. Highly recommend to check this location.

New guitar day and great customer service from Scott and Mathew! I was guitar shopping for a Gibson J-45 acoustic and Scott was able to track and bring in a new model for me. I live outside of Edmonton and only have Sundays off from work. He went out of the way to get it shipped from the Mayfield store to this L&M location with Sunday hours.Upon arrival, Scott unveiled the new J-45 and informed me that there was no obligation to purchase and encouraged to try out the used models they carried too. Thereafter, he passed me off to Mathew who was knowledgeable and passionate about guitars. Mathew, let me try out 2 used J-45 models including a Slash vermillion burst model and explained the differences. After the trials, I ended up choosing the new vintage burst model which honestly felt the best. Mathew also helped assist my girlfriend choose a quality microphone which is outstanding. She is very happy with the quality in sound.One week after new ownership, this guitar feels like I have been playing it forever. It's plays smooth, resonates a warm tone (acoustic and plugged in) and looks classic and timeless. Thanks Scott and Mathew for the new guitar! That red J-45 was sweet but the vintage sunburst stole it for me. I hope your boss buys you guys your favourite extra large pizza for your solid work and this review! I'll be back!

I take lessons and I also buy my gear here at long and mcquade north. Adam in the drum department has helped me alot with tips and advice, to get started on my journey in drumming. He is very knowledgeable with techniques and gear! Every time I come in I always leave with more knowledge about drumming.

****Drums Drums Drums!!!!**** I decided to stop in at the NorthSide Edmonton Store on 14 Feb to take a look at Drum Kits. I had been wanting to play Drums once again after more than 35yrs. I spoke with James in the Drum Section of the store and he immediately put me at ease and brought me up to speed. I had already done the research and knew what i wanted when i walked in, i told James and he looked it all up for me and let me know that the Drum Kit i wanted would probably take a few months; the cymbals/stands, throne and accessories/hardware would be in quite quick as they were all available in Canada. I gave him a deposit and started my wait... I called James on 18 Feb and asked a question in regards to my order and he informed me that he was able to knock some more money off of the Drum Kit i had on order, i was pleasantly surprised by this after a simple inquiry on the phone about my order!!! You ROCK James!!! Here's the best part... James called me today(28 Feb) and informed me that a used(2yrs old) Drum Kit exactly like the one i had on order had come in and he was able to give me a 'really good deal' on it, so i immediately made my way to the store to take a look at it... i was super happy with it, it was in perfect condition and 1000$ less than the one i had ordered. James set me up with Cymbal stands/hardware/accessories and replaced the Drum Heads and i was out the door with my new Drum Kit in an hour... James walked and talked me through replacing drum heads and gave me helpful advice on tuning as well. I have had nothing but a positive experience with Long & McQuade NorthSide Edmonton Store. James is an awesome salesperson and i highly recommend him for all your drumming needs!!! 5 Star Service... Thanks again James. You Rock...
