Olive Tree Learning Centre

The early learning programming and staff at Olive Tree are exceptional in every regard. Over the past year our child has had so much enrichment. Our toddler has learned at least 15 songs from their circle time, yoga, and crafts. There is always a different sensory type of activity in the room and over the summer they went on weekly field trips. The kids play outside as much as possible, and the staff always find ways to change it up. They go on walks, to the park, and there is a nice meadow type green space near the daycare where they have picnics. The kids learn so much from 'hunting' for spiders in the grass or testing things that float in puddles. Our family was also invited to a huge fall festival at the Broadmoor playground which was a great way to meet the other parents too, there is a real sense of community.The instructors are very experienced and there is a very low turnover. There is very clear and open communication, and the staff are always happy to talk about what the team is working on. Even in the nursery, they talk to the kids in full sentences (no baby talk) and my child's language skills really took off. The kids are learning amazing social skills, in the morning they have the cutest little greetings. As a parent, I've learned how the center's application of the Reggio Emilia approach fosters collaborative learning, empathy, problem solving and sharing. The kids reflect the positivity, humour, and charisma of the staff and sometimes mine doesn't want to come home.I interviewed with the top 4 rated daycares in Sherwood Park when we were looking, Olive Tree was my first choice. I had a great and awesome experienced completing my 10 weeks practicum at Olive Tree Learning Center. The whole staff were very professional and with so much heart and care mindset. All the teachers really make an effort to engaged with the children and providing a lot of open ended activities. Overall, Olive Tree Learning Center is a safe, fun and great learning environment for little children.

Although I haven't been at Olive Tree long it has quickly become a big piece of my heart. All of the staff were so welcoming when I started and I feel like I'm apart of a family. I look forward to seeing the smiling faces on our kids as they ask us what fun activities we have in store.

They use specific age and personality appropriate tools to support each individual children's growth. Staff are attentive and personable, and it's clear that they care deeply about the children in their care. As a fellow staff member here I feel so blessed!Danielle has provided us with incredible classrooms filled with plant life along with unimaginable support, encouragement, and resources to help us teach and explore many aspects with our children!I love coming in each and everyday!Not to mention our wonderful menu of breakfast, lunch and snack items that are different each week!Thank you so much Danielle!! ❤❤

Olive Tree Daycare is a caring, very safe, and by far most nurturing childcare in Strathcona county. Our son LOVES being there!!! Danielle has an amazing team of dedicated and loving people who are all very thoughtful in their programming, compassionate with the children, and they are all very personable with parents! Through this pandemic times, Olive tree has kept it protocols and policies around cleanliness/sanitization/ and activities very mindful of keeping the children happy and healthy. Thank you Olive Tree for the amazing care you provide. We are so blessed to have found you!

Our family absolutely loves Olive Tree and is forever grateful for the kind , caring and patient staff ! Our two littles have attended the daycare and we have noticed such positive changes in their day to day life. The staff is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond each day. The owner is quick to respond to any questions and ready to help with any extras we require! Truly the best!

I have been blessed to have found an educator role at my 2nd home at Olive Tree where I am surrounded by wonderful long time co-workers. Danielle is an amazing and wonderful boss. We are blessed to have our new director Molly join us a few months ago and she is always there to offer us support. I love being a part of such wonderful families who have embedded their trust in me to care and nurture their beautiful minds. All the children and families are fabulous. I cannot wait to continue my educator role and experience my next chapters.
