Propeller Brewing Company — Gottingen Tap Room and Cold Beer Store

This place was quite the experience! Found in the basement of Propeller Brewing Co. They have recently added a arcade area! They have multiple games ranging from order/original pinball games, classic Narc, and even newer ones such as Guardians of the Galaxy! Prices ranging from 25 cents to a dollar per play (Also dependant on if you are playing solo, or vs!Would highly recommend the visit!

Such a great spot to stop in for a quick growler fill or a 4-pack of the latest release, or stay a while in the topside tap room, or venture to the basement to relive your youth in their Propeller Arcade. Pinball, Cabinets, Skeeball, and more! Excellent beer and great atmosphere!

Great selection of beers, rowdy downstairs, but quiet upstairs. Nice outdoor urban patio. Bartenders super friendly and knowledgeable.

Bought a bunch of beer here while visiting Halifax to take back to our hotel. The person working there was super helpful. Knowledgeable. Also gave us some tips on places to check out while we were visiting. Great experience.

We had a great experience coming in for a tasting. Everyone enjoyed all of the beers we sampled, especially the IPAs and seasonal pumpkin and flat white stout, and the awesome staff gave us the opportunity to check out the arcade and brewery downstairs even though they weren’t open on a Monday. We will definitely be back to try out the games the next time we are in Halifax!

As soon as I walked in I noticed that the brewery had a pretty nice look going on and was greeted by helpful staff. While he was giving us the overview of the brewery he had made mention that they had an arcade in the basement. This peaked my interest as I love arcades and they are a dying breed. I was also informed that they also offered the same brew downstairs. At this point I knew where I had to go. Once downstairs I was blown away by an 80's retro arcade with a little 80's cult horror movie influence. Posters ranging from Nightmare on Elm Street 4 to Texas Chainsaw were on the walls giving a retro theatre feel to it. The countertop of the bar was also very ingenious as they compiled many different covers from VHS horror cult classic and B-horror movies to make it a treat for any movie lover. They had a very good selection of pinball machines ranging from classics such as Lost World and WWF Royal Rumble(macho man yelling Oh Yeah" while I lose will never get old). Combine this with pounding back a cold Propeller Prime Lager and you have yourself a winning combo. If you like good beer and wanna feel like a kid again popping quarters nonstop this is a must have stop!"

Really cool space and chill atmosphere, with a fantastic beer selection. The upstairs is a quiet little cafe-like area, and the downstairs is like a dive arcade (in a good way). The people were very friendly and made us feel welcome with our young child. They are also super dog-friendly :)

A never ending creative and completely satisfying supply of my favorite beverages for the last 20 years ! The service, music and game extras are always appreciated. Thank you always!

This was on our list of breweries to try and it didn’t disappoint- we’d give 4.5 stars if it was possible :)Staff are super friendly, lots of seating options including a really cute and spacious backyard patio. They had decent beer selection and also had a short list of offering for non-beer drinkers which was really nice for someone like myself.
