St Paul Electric - Kirby Centre Thunder Bay

They accepted a $40 deposit to repair a vacuum and desk lamp yet 6 months later, we are not able to contact anyone to reclaim the items. Not holding out any hope on getting the deposit back. Phone number mailbox is full. The store is always closed. What is going on?

I brought my Bissell rug cleaner in because the beater bar quit working 1/2 way through cleaning my living room rug. I explained I was rural & my furniture from the living room & bedrooms were all in the hallway & could they possibly look at it as soon as possible. They were very busy & originally didn't think they could look at it till the next day. They phoned shortly after & said would try & take a quick look at it. It was a small repair, they had it fixed within 2 hours of me dropping it off. I very much appreciate their professional & great service,taking the time to explain exactly what they found & very reasonably priced also. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Was wondering where I would get my vacuum supplies for Kenmore since Sears is closing. No worries!!! I had hardly pulled the hepa filter from my purse and he said he had it! Also asked if I needed the other filter for the vacuum. Didn’t know I had another but got one and sure enough, it needed changing too!! They were great and I will be supporting this local business from now on!

Is this place even open or a business? I called countless times, knocked on the door, all while the sign said open during his business hours, so I tried to message him on Facebook a few times and I got left on read each time. If you’re extremely busy let a customer know, not ignore them. This place is not run with good customer service in mind. Too bad it’s the only vacuum repair shop in Thunder Bay because this guy sure isn’t gonna repair it for you.

Locally owned and operated in Thunder Bay for 20+ years. Excellent customer service, knowledgeable well trained staff, . Has always been the go to shop for repairs/service and replacement parts for all sorts of small electronics. Place has always seemed to have what your looking for or the ability to obtain it!

Six months ago I dropped off a lamp and paid a deposit for repairs. Please help me know if I will be able to retrieve my lamp. I have been by the shop many times, and called the phone number many times.

If I could give this store and my experience 0 stars that would be my preference. I brought in my dyson vacuum which I owned for 10 years to have the beater bar repaired. After having it for 5 days I went to pick it up, paid $150 and got it home only to find that the beater bar still didn't work. I brought it back again he told me it was my fault. Kept it for a few more days and called to tell me the motor was completely broken and it was no longer working at all. He did offer that he would take the money spent off a vacuum he had in the store. So not really having a choice I agreed and purchased for another $100 a Panasonic. Got it home and it did not perform as promised so I brought it back to return. He immediately started yelling at me telling me my complaints with the machine were not valid and he refused to take it back. I have never been treated so poorly. I always prefer to support local but places that treat their customers like this should not be in business!

I have always had canister vacuums and not been happy with them. I now have a Panasonic Upright from St. Paul Electric and could not be happier.Dan took his time to explain the features and warranty. The vacuum is light and ergonomically designed for easy use. A very powerful cleaning machine.

We recently purchased a replacement central vac unit for our house from St. Paul Electric. When I went in to pick it up Dan had everything I needed to install it (fittings, etc.) all ready and he spent time explaining how to set it all up at home. The vac is now working (the power it has is incredible!) and we are extremely happy with it and with the great customer service we received at St.Paul Electric. They are reliable, knowledgable and their products and services are reasonable priced and guaranteed. I would HIGHLY recommend St Paul to anyone who needs any vacuum or air purifier products or service!

Terrific service! I suggest checking with them before throwing out non-working small appliances. Our 2006 DeLonghi convection toaster oven stopped dead. Was all set to throw it away but a check online said it could be a fuse. To do it yourself was rated as difficult and tricky, so had the experts do it - they have the right tools for the job. Very economical and was ready next day, working great now. Thank you!
