West 49 is mostly good. Their outlet on Ferry street was much better but the store at the Pen is decent. Big name brand, clothes shoes boards - normally don’t have deals on these but the quality is amazing. Where they do have deals on is sometimes very sketchy material. The west 49 brand pants stain easily and won’t come out, the Zoo York shirts shrink fast and the collar is very loose, so do the Reckless T’s. It’s sometimes worth shopping here. The shoes alone is what I like a lot and the DC hoody I have is still in immaculate condition all these years later. It’s great if you don’t mind dropping some coin but avoid certain clothing brands, that are usually on sale.

I love West 49, prices are a bit high but the quality of clothes are a bit better. Also I'm not sure if Corey still works there or not but every time I come in I talked with Cory for a while he is a nice person and I always leave with a smile when he's there. I would shop here again and I would recommend the store to people.

It was a different time when they carried more than just zooyork and enjoi boards. I didnt even see west 49 brand clothing. Pretty expensive as well generally not going to be a good beginner skate shop both for the wallet and quality of products.I hear the drums echoing tonightBut she hears only whispers of some quiet conversationShe's coming in twelve-thirty flightHer moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards salvationI stopped an old man along the wayHoping to find some old forgotten words or ancient melodiesHe turned to me as if to say: Hurry boy

Friendly staff. Great selection and prices. Always helpful making this old dad feel comfortable when i have no idea what im looking for for my teen.
