Get a second quote.He charged me $900 to install a bathroom fan, based on his estimate of 6 hours. (I bought the fan, and had to do the dry wall which took me several weekends. See picture.) When the job took less than 3 hours, I told him I was disappointed in the price, to which he replied It's not worth it to drive an hour to go to somebody's house for a 3 hour job" and he "had to drive an hour for materials..." Then he left me high and dry on another job."

A life saver!I bought my first home about 6 months ago (that needed a lot of work) and Ropes Electric helped me through everything. Over the last 6 months they have done my panel change over (original panel from 1950s), installed pot lights in my basement and put ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms.Most recently, Ryan installed a home security camera for the house as well. Prior to working with Ropes Electric, I spoke to many electricians and they were by far the best price for the amount of work I needed done. I'd highly recommend Ryan and his team and I look forward to working with them in the future!Michelle

Most recent project with Ropes Electric was the installation of pot lights in my living room (February 2020). Ryan installed 4 lights, all the wiring and a dimmer switch within the day. Previous projects include removal of knob and tube (2010) and the installation of a chandelier (2015). Each project Ryan was professional, efficient and kept the job site tidy. Overall great experience working with this electrical contractor.
