Killarney Lake

Pretty nice hike around the lake. Good because its quiet and not overrun with activity.

An excellent little lake to visit in the evening! Highly recommend bringing hiking boots cuz the path can be sketchy. Park at Hartland Landfill and walk south along fence and bike trail. Watch for second rugged trail on the left with sign post with blue square. Head into the woods and respect private property when you cut through it. First is a teeny beach for slow entry but if you continue around top of lake there are high jump off spots and a rumoured rope swing!!

I love this place coz it's hidden and not many people know about it. It's so calm and peaceful :)

This is a beautiful small lake in the forest of Mount Work Regional Park. The lake is clear and good for swimming. There are multiple trails including one that goes around the lake. It is a quiet spot for a hike through some large trees. The lake is accessible from the Mount Work Bike Trails area to the south of the Hartland Landfill site, with ample parking available off Hartland Road (entrance to the right just before the landfill entry gate). To reach the lake, cross the road (crosswalk) and walk south on the main bike trail. After a few hundred meters, you can head downhill using the Shock Treatment" bike trail (it is marked)
