Shawn was very knowledgeable and thorough. He took the time to examine every aspect of the house, gave us suggestions for maintenance and things that required correction. He also gave us an idea of what we should expect to see over the next year and how to either avoid or remedy the situation.Very professional, very personable, and great at explaining what we needed to know.Highly recommend Shawn for any type of home.

My husband and I recently purchased a home in the Quinte West area and hired Shawn Bindon from Inspec Homes to conduct our home inspection. Having a home inspection was a deal breaker for us as I believe it is important to know exactly what it is you are buying. We arrived at the property to find Shawn waiting for us. I was immediately greeted with a friendly and warm smile. Shawn and our agent accompanied my husband and me through the property. Shawn was very thorough (inside & out) and answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns. I thought he might have been annoyed as I had a LOT of questions, but no, he was incredibly patient, and gave me all the information and clarification I needed. There were some things that Shawn recommended that we do (preventive maintenance) and he even offered to assist my husband and me in making sure those things were done properly. We had the inspection in the morning and received the report that night - which was fantastic.After reading through the report, I had further questions about the property, so I reached out to Shawn by email. He addressed all my concerns without delay. I would highly recommend not only this company, but Shawn specifically. He was very professional, kind, friendly and thorough. What further impressed me is that Shawn did the inspection on the Sunday of the Labour Day weekend!

Purchased a home in Quinte West. Shawn was our inspector, our eyes on the ground so to speak as we were out of the country during the inspection. The report was so complete, (81 pages) answering our questions with great detail by cell and email. We would recommend Shawn without hesitation.

Shawn not only accommodated my schedule last minute, he showed up early and was ready to go when I arrived. He went into plenty detail regarding things he was seeing both good and bad, he was incredible to deal with. As a first time home buyer he put a lot of my worries to rest and was able to walk me through a lot of the unknown. He brought every tool at his disposal and made sure the job was through. I am still in the middle of my first attempt buying a home, and through an impossibly tight schedule and two separate house inspections in the span of 3 weeks, Shawn has been an absolute gem. He was extremely thorough in his check of the first home, and suffered me trailing him around the house with good grace and reams of good advice. I still have nightmares thinking about what might have happened if he hadn't been as thorough or we hadn't bothered with any inspections at all.He has been the first person in this entire house-buying process that felt like he was working in my interest, not his own, and I do not have the words for the gratitude I feel for all of his good advice and straight, honest answers. I called him several times with follow-up questions, some even outside his usual purview, and if he didn't have an answer, he knew someone who did.Shawn conducted a second house inspection on our behalf just last week (we had to fight our realty team to get him again!), this time with my husband who had nothing but words of deep respect and praise. Our circumstances have changed somewhat since that inspection, but if we go through a third, I have zero doubts who I'm going to call.Given all the work that he does, how many photos he takes of everything, how quickly he comes out with a report, and how extremely detailed it is (by now I've read MANY), his rates are extremely reasonable and worth every penny. Shawn Bindon was our home inspector for a new house we recently purchased in PEC. His inspection was very thorough. He provided us with a well organized take away document where he outlined all his findings, including recommendations to keep things in good working order going forward. He also provided local recommendations for companies and people for tasks that may need to be addressed in the future, which is valuable to us as new residents to the area. Shawn was also able to return to complete a task he was unable to perform on his initial inspection. Shawn was a true professional and would recommend him to anyone who needs a home inspection.

Shawn was on time (early, actually), patient, friendly, knowledgeable, and he took the time to explain everything. The inspection ended in the afternoon, but we still received a very thorough report that evening. Really impressive.
