I got an espresso and despite the bad reviews it wasn't bad at all. Pastries are the same (and same price) you can find downstairs at whole foods.

One of the best Cafés in the city is now mostly a break time lounge for whole foods staff. Now they are also suffering from maybe staff issues with super erratic cafe schedule. One time it was closed for 5 days. They changed their schedule to 2pm and now 12noon, and this seem to happen all in a month. I mean other Allegro Cafés don’t have all the issues mentioned above (from an outside customer perspective). Hope they bounce back since its really unfortunate for what was once a thriving cafe with a prime location.

Coffee is good. I like the dark roast.You can get several different muffins. They are all quite large and very filling. All good.The coffee and muffin combo was only $3.99, the last time I had it.Allegro also sells sandwiches and squares.Beer and wine are available. Special prices are offered on some Thursdays.This place is often crowded.

coffee and baked staff are good, sitting arrangement is not very comfortable, and there is not much of plug for electronic devices,these characteristics including not very clean tables make this cafe a place for grab and go or just for a quick coffee

Very convenient location being right above Whole food- Cambie. You dont get a big selection of pastries but you have Whole food on the lower floor. The coffees are ok; the after taste of the oat latte is bitter.

I look forward to every morning I walk into Allegro.Though right now the seating area is closed, the space still feels like home, it’s clean and I’m treated like family.Patrick and then rest of the baristas are consistent with my mocha and there my favourite 2 muffin options are always available even if I don’t purchase one that day.Since I’m newer to the city, I’m so appreciative and grateful to have that daily connection to the team.I hope to have the opportunity to work with them some day soon!

I feel like this place is great for a simple coffee and a muffin. That's all I wanted here, and that's what they got right. The coffee was full bodied and the muffin had substance to it unlike Tim's or SB. Seating was just ok, however, probably good enough for what it is. No washroom that I could see is the only other downside to extremely expensive parking. Going on foot is recommended.
