Dr. Deshinee Moodley

I highly recommend Dr. Deshinee Moodley. She and her team work diligently to provide prompt and effective care to their patients. From Naveena who pleasantly and efficiently administers the office to Olivia who skillfully and patiently does the preliminary assessments and to Dr. Moodley who is empathetic and thorough, I find my doctor's appointments to be extremely satisfying.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Moodley for approximately 4 years and we are both very pleased with our total experience from booking our appointments quickly through Navena, her receptionist, to updating our medical information and having our vitals checked by her nurse Olivia, shortly after we arrive for an appointment and then meeting with Dr. Moodley. Everyone is courteous, professional and prompt, but not rushed. The doctor always allows sufficient time to answer any questions that we may have, and most importantly, whenever a referral to a specialist is needed, we are asked if there is one we prefer, or she will refer us to someone if we have no preference.

My experience with Dr. Moodley and her all-star team made up of Olivia and Naveena has been nothing short of wonderful. Dr. Moodley is calm, kind, compassionate, thorough and deeply, deeply caring. Her knowledge and competence as well as her grace as a person set her apart. Dr. Moodley is wonderful, always there, an excellent listener and I feel incredibly fortunate to have her as my doctor. Naveena (the office's administrator) is wonderful. She is never anything less than friendly, professional, gentle and caring. Every time I call the office (probably too much) I can hear the smile in her voice and I know she will hear me and treat me with care and consideration. Olivia (Dr. Moodley's nurse) is also wonderful. She is thorough, competent, professional and patient all the while jovial and making her patients feel at ease. Olivia is friendly, takes meticulous notes and listens with patience, grace and an open heart. It is wonderful to be served and cared for by these incredible women and I cannot recommend this incredible team highly enough.

Dr. Moodley and her staff are all great people and they really care about their patients. The receptionist is very welcoming, kind and is great with bookings. Dr. Moodley is very friendly and she is very easy to talk to and gives great medical advice. Overall, I would definitely recommend her to others looking for a long term family doctor.

What a wonderful doctor! We moved to Windsor six years ago and found a doctor who actually made 4 fairly major errors in about four years and Dr. Moodley was highly recommended by a friend so I put my name on the waiting list and was accepted about a year later and I’m really glad that I changed. What an efficient operation and she is very prompt: usually my wait is 10 minutes or less. She listens very carefully and I was even amazed that yesterday she removed a mole and sent it for a biopsy and gave me five stitches; sure beats waiting months to see a dermatologist to do the same thing. The receptionist and the nurse, as others have noted, are also very friendly. The one thing I don’t know is if I had an immediate need for a medical consultation, would I be able to see her? My doctor in Montreal, where I regularly waited an hour even with an appointment, told me that I could see her anytime she was in the office as long I was willing to wait.

Dr. Moodley is always willing to take the time to listen to what you need and never rushes you. She listens to my concerns and gives suggestions. Her staff is very kind and professional. I would definitely recommend her as a family doctor.

I am very pleased with my health care at Dr. Moodley's office. The staff is efficient, and friendly. I have no problem calling the office, or getting appointments.Dr. Moodley is very personable, and a good listener. She explains things in a clear manner, and doesn't hesitate to send me for any required tests, or referrals. I feel confident that I'm receiving excellent care at her practice.

My first time having a female doctor. She made me feel very comfortable from the first visit. She's always on time with appointments. I've never had to wait more than 2 or 3 minutes, unlike previous doctors. She is also very thorough and actually listens to what you say and doesn't just push medicine. Great receptionist and nurse as well!

MISLEAD, LIED TO, AND DECLINED!On January 31 2023, I went to the office of Dr. Deshinee Moodley, at 11811 Tecumseh Rd. E. in Windsor. I told the receptionist that my health was very good, I had recently moved back to Windsor, I only wanted a checkup, and a family doctor to go to if and when I needed one. She suggested that I fill out an application then told me that she would phone call me the following day to let me know if I was approved or not and leave a message if necessary.By February 3, I had not heard from the office, so I left a phone message asking it to call me regarding whether I was approved or not.By February 7 (one week after I was told that I would receive a callback) there was still no communication so I went to the office again. The same receptionist asked me to write my name down on a paper so that she could find my application in a pile of applications she had. I saw this pile of several applications as she was searching for mine. After she found it, she told me that she would find out whether it had been approved or not.She took my application then moved away from the counter to an area that was just out of sight but not hearing from where I was sitting in the waiting room. I saw another employee (not Dr Moodley) follow her to this location. Without trying to, I could hear them whispering from where I was sitting in the waiting room and knew they were discussing my application.About 2 minutes later, the receptionist returned to tell me that the window for applying was closed. I thought this information was strange because she had a pile of applications on the counter, I was told it was closed only after another staff member just finished discussing my application with her, and she didn't already know that the window was closed when I arrived.I asked her when the window for applying was closed. Instead of answering my question, she told me that my application had been declined. I almost asked her why she just lied to me about the window being closed but instead asked if I was declined because there is something about me on the application that they didn’t like. She was tongue tied then replied by telling me that she didn’t know.I asked her when she was going to call me to say that I had been declined. She said that the office does not call people to tell them and that no callback means they were not accepted. I stated that the previous week she said that she would call me the following day to tell me whether I was accepted or not, then she apologized for not doing it.I asked for the application back then it was given to me. As I left she said have a nice day."It's not being declined that is disrespectful to me

I have been a patient at Dr. Moodley’s for a few years now and she is a very kind and outgoing individual. She is also a very understanding doctor and someone I can feel safe and comfortable talking with. I’m glad I have chosen Dr. Moodley as my family doctor and I highly recommend her to others who are looking for a professional family doctor.
