Great family-owned bar/grill. I was very pleased with our food and service at Bernie’s. We had the Mozzarella & Onion burger w/side of fries, the Wing/Finger platter w/side onion rings and two Caesar drinks.The Good: really great food…my wings were perfectly done (asked for well done), I liked the medium sauce and the wings were good quality, better than other wings that are laced with fatty pieces throughout and I really enjoyed the blue cheese dip; the fingers were so tasty with a thin ‘crunchy’ texture to the breading; burger patties were lean, well cooked, great toppings and fries cooked perfectly.The Bad: if I had any (minor) critiques, it would be the Caesar…good but nothing special and the .75 cent charge for the blue cheese dip…that should just be a given (free) with wings but no real biggie. The onion rings were tasty but a bit on the over-fried side for my liking.The Ugly: nothing ugly at this place and good to see renos are happening for restaurant improvementWill definitely be making this a go to place to try so many other tasty items on their expansive menu.

Good old Bernie's!I've really been liked this place for a long time. Lots of TVs around so it's a good place to watch sports, and overall the atmosphere is quite relaxed.I had the fish tacos and they were great. Especially the potato chips that came with them. The Tomato Jalapeno soup was very meh"

Really like this particular Bernies! Without fail, every time we've gone around 9 or 10 in the evening, the service has been excellent, The waitresses have been super friendly and very accommodating!

Ordered take out salads and they had no forks.. the salads were not great.. Greek dressing was mostly vinegar and lettuce was browning..consistency is very important in a restaurant

Family owned restaurant with reasonable prices, big portions, friendly service, and an expansive menu. Great for families, sporting events, and for eats/drinks on the patio during the summer.

First time in. Not a good experience. Poor value and terrible service. Clubhouse wrap was sad. Mostly pre shredded lettuce with maybe 3oz of chicken, a strip of bacon and a suggestion of tomato. It came with “Bernie’s potatoes” that consisted of chopped up potatoes that were over seasoned, burnt and covered in budget Parmesan. Our server seemed genuinely unhappy to be there and annoyed that we asked for replacement fries. She returned in 5 seconds with fries that had clearly died on the pass. She never checked, no refills and the dining room was full of dirty napkins all over the floor. Surprising given there were three servers behind our booth wrapping cutlery. Bathrooms were also unattended to and lacked paper towel. GM needs to have staff meeting.

I’ve been here with my grandpa a few times now and all interactions have been very good. Good food served promptly and tasted great. Menu is a decent size so lots to choose from. Inside is very clean and a second set of washrooms currently under renovations but should be complete very soon. TVs if you want to catch the game as well.

It would have been 3 stars. However, we ordered some pretty standard bar fare. Large ($4) up charge beef ($5.50) up charge to make the Nachos $26. The picture shows how many of the nachos have no toppings. That’s at least half the order. Called the restaurant just to let them know that it’s not acceptable to charge premium prices for sub par food to be told they’ve been there for 32 years and they’ll comp me next time. I didn’t want the comp, I wanted the next person to not be overcharged. Poor manager, poor experience. Save your money.

Restaurant closed at 10, staff turned off open sign at 9:30, and clearly wanted too close earlier then their 11pm posted time for a Wednesday night.Forur of us guys out for a good time all agreed we felt rushed and weren’t made too feel welcomed or tended too.Chicken wings were great, and will return giving them a second shot hoping for better service.
