In my opinion, the products of Salamanca are spectacular! Recently, Salamanca sent me ( I live in Kingston, Ontario) a super particular order with products not easily found in Canada, such as Peruvian condiments, ajies, spices, sweets and sodas from South America, as well as high-quality organic grains like Moron, and let me tell you; everything was perfect and delicious!. Thanks for the cookies, Salamanca, a sweet surprise! Another added value of shopping in Salamanca is creating a solid bond of trust between the customer and the store. That is very valuable. I hope to place my Christmas order soon!

Today I went to the store and the saleswoman is a really rude and not friendly person. Zero skills of customer service. I regretted not going to La Perola first where the people were very nice.

First and foremost. The owner is not rude. Not sure what the previous review was saying. This has been a staple for over 20+ years. I come here for nuts and ground coffee weekly. Highly recommend!

Owner is rude and has zero customer service skills. You can't find anything here that you won't be able to get at Carlos' House of Spice across the street or other shops in the area.

Owner was a bit pushy but the food prices are good and the Turkish delight is my favorite from here. I would probably come back in the future.

I have been shopping at Salamanca for over a decade and I’ve always found the staff and owners (both the current one and the previous owner) friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The nuts, dried fruit, flour, and other products I purchase are always good quality and well-priced. I also appreciate their diligence in hygiene and safety during COVID (limiting number of people, hand-sanitizer, mask wearing, etc.).

What a gem of a store in Kensington Market. Soon as one steps over the threshold one can feel just how special it is. Dry goods are fantastic with special Peruvian treats.
