Recently had eyes examined, purchased new glasses. Seriously dedicated to great service, friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended

Dr Hoover's office is always clean and welcoming. His receptionist is very friendly and welcoming. Dr Hoover always ask how I've been doing as well as if I've been having any issues with my eyes since my last appointment. I truly feel valued as an individual.

When my appointment with the optometrist was confirmed, I was warned that I had to give a 48-hour notice of cancellation, otherwise I would be charged $50. Last week, I was notified that my new eyeglasses were ready for pickup. Store opening hours were not provided. How could I have known that the business would open only at 11 AM that day, when in my experience it opened at 9 AM? There was no other notice of opening hours posted on the door. So I returned the next day - Friday - to pick up my glasses, this time after 11, but only to find once again closed doors on which was posted a notice that the business was closed and would open again at 9 only on the following Tuesday. 'Sorry for any inconvenience', it said. Hollow apologies will not compensate me for wasted time and money I spent in twice fruitlessly attempting to pick up my new eyeglasses. This is the worse abuse of a customer I have ever been subjected to.

my husband and granddaughter were fitted with new glasses in the past few weeks. We have gone to Dr. Hoover for over 30 years. We've always liked him and his gentle manner. The girls at the front are great as well!!

Came in and reception was bashing other clients within ear shoot of everyone there. The new eye doctor (not Hoover) had made a point of treating me like a burden or second class as I am OHIP covered. I have never gone to an eye doctor before that showed so much disrespect for a patient before now. All over the fact the government wasn't paying him what he wanted. And ended with You are not allowed back unless you pay like everyone else." If you want to be treated with respect

I’m not exaggerating when I say this was the best health care experience I’ve ever had.I was in somewhat of an emergency situation and Dr. Sébastien St-Cyr and the staff were able to squeeze me in same day. Instead of being annoyed with me trying to get in so quickly without an appointment, they not only found time, but went WAY above and beyond what I was expecting.Thorough, caring, understanding and compassionate. I really can’t put in to world how impressed I am with this clinic. I will never go anywhere else.

We’re glad to have stopped our search here !My elderly Mom and I both recently discovered we needed a second set of glasses after unrelated and unfortunate accidents shortened our old frames’ usefulness.The tactful, sympathetic direction Tracey offered during the exercise of discovering ‘a frame find’- - that is, suitably well fitting and well-fitted complimenting frames - - plus the superior quality of prescription lenses that are made available, made our second sets the best glasses either of us have owned - - in all our combined decades of seeking glasses.We feel great wearing such practical well-designed glasses. These clearly have superior structural components compared to past purchases, but also, they have appeal in their outline of shape, their unique mix of colours and in the of quality materials used to create them.Our corrected vision is clear and the comfort of a good fit has been an ongoing relief already.Thank you to all involved.Valerie

Dr. Hoover has been my optometrist for 25 years. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and takes the time to discuss any issues or concerns. He is always punctual and has a very welcoming staff. Since moving back to Toronto six years ago, I have seen two different optometrists, both of whom were incorrect in their prescriptions. In both cases, I returned to Dr. Hoover to have the prescriptions corrected. It was well worth the journey.

I became a patient of Dr. Hoover many years ago as a child, I’ve since taken all three of my children to Hoover Optometry for they regular exams. They are now 13,16&18 so I’d say we have been there lots! Dr Hoover is now retired and although he will be missed, the new staff and owners are exceptional replacements! Dr. St. Cyr is lovely and makes everyone feel very welcome and taken care of. Donna and Treena at the front are clearly the glue that keep it all together. I always look forward to my short by sweet encounters with each of them! Highly recommend!!!

Excellent clinic and very friendly staff. They have a great selection of glasses with reasonable prices. Dr. Hoover has been my doctor for several years and has been very good at explaining my vision problems to me. He also got me in to his clinic very quickly when I had a minor eye injury. Very happy with my experiences here.
