Cape Split Trailhead
Beautiful well-maintained trail that is an easy hike with an amazing view and area to explore at the end.Took us about 3 hours to do the full loop, including about half an hour at the end for a break and mini breaks at each lookout.

What a great hike!! 12km round trip so will take a few hours but not hard terrain. The path gradually takes you up for the first 3k or so then ends at the Cape Split point. Shady trail until the end so your not in direct sun too much. Highly recommend.

It took approx 90 minutes for each side and the view from top was worth every step. It’s good if you take something like a bar/candy or anything sweet to eat and a water bottle. It will be windy on the top so having a wing breaker is advisable.Over all nice well maintained trail.

Look to the east young man from whence your forefathers came. See the endless rolling waves and cutting wind. Peer into the distance to find the mystery of the depths which keeps the secrets of a life long past. Over that side, eventually, is the the home country.Yet you stand here because of the journey made. Someone past spurred simply by a hope that passing through the waters would provide a better life.Overall an easy walk, lots of look out points. Would do again.

The trail itself is boring. Only the final point at cliff worth this whole way to walk.Bicycle riding is possible.

Surprised we did the hike in 2 hours since we took frequent breaks. It was really muddy at the beginning of September so have some good waterproof hiking shoes or boots that you don't mind if they get dirty... We cleaned our shoes in a stream at the end of the trail. The views are amazing, especially at the very top!

Talk about a long walk!! There are 2 trails that take you to the end. The Minas basin trail is the more scenic IMO and is 6.2 km one way. The trails are easy to moderate. The view at the end is great. It can get windy so take a jacket if you plan to spend time there. There is a washroom only at the start where the car park is.

So worth the hike to the split! It was very muddy so be prepared. Took us around 4 hours with some water breaks and a few look out spots. Hiked it with two children aged 9 and 12.
