Mr. Lecce needs to support his constituents who, for many years, tirelessly worked to legally secure environmental protection for the Oak Ridges Moraine. Ford's determination to alter it, benefits his developer friends, harms our natural environment, and disregards our democracy.

As a parent I do not support what you are doing to our provinces educational workers. My children will not be going to school until you stop trampling on workers rights.

We need someone who has experience in Education and has a degree in it. Would be helpful if he went to public school or even has a kid in it. He has no credentials or credibility whatsoever.

Has never attended a public school and is clueless what it takes to run a healthy and stable education environment. Keeping kids in school is SOOO important..but not important enough to pay the workers a decent wage. Yet is fine accepting a 15K raise himself

I'm totally in favour of our CUPE members getting a raise, however, that doesn't provide a better service for the children. A 56% raise over 5 years, is an outrageous request. I encourage everyone to do the math of what they are asking for. An 11% increase year over year takes a member at $43K currently to approx. $74K. What industry can possibly give this ridiculous raise to its employees? Everyone should consider what it would actually mean to provide a raise above and beyond what they are being offered, property taxes are going to go up. This will directly impact your pocketbook. People are already struggling because we're just coming out of a pandemic, and foreclosures are on the rise and we should do what??? Give them more than the communities can afford?? I think not! Giving them a raise is needed but it must be done over time, and it has to be reasonable. I am certain everyone would love to receive a 50% raise, but no companies are doing that, we have to be reasonable. I support Stephen Lecce!!

Gutting public education is generally frowned upon Stephen. How are you gonna keep kids in school if you won't even pay the people who educate our children? Oh I assume you don't care because you have zero knowledge of how public schools actually operate, nor how the average person struggles.I SUPPORT CUPE. 39K IS NOT ENOUGH.

Not helping the public education system. Short-changing kids for the future. Rather fine 39k education workers $4000 for using their Charter of Rights.

The ways in which he lies to the media saying it is teachers negotiating and asking for over 50% raise is a lie. Also pretending that he brought forth a mediator hes used in the past is a lie, it is the union bring forth the mediator . It is pathetic that Ford and the government gave themselves a 14% raise and throwing pennies at employees for the school board who have had wages freezes for at least a decade and cant afford to feed their families and accessing food banks and pay their bills. Lecce is a disgrace who does not negotiate in good faith. It is he himself who kept students home when proper measures could have been put in place to keep them in school. And now he says the union wants to strike ? No one wants to strike and be without income but when when this government isn't treating their employees fairly and not giving them a living wage it is shameful!!!!

Stephen Lecce is a liar and he needs to be ashamed of himself. The Ford government offered 2% and is claiming that CUPE’s demands are unreasonable. You claim that you care about children’s health and well being. But children are suffering because their parents are having to work second jobs and spend less time with them. Our educations workers are burnt out and having to fight through mental health barriers while putting a good face for our students. Stephen Lecce gets to live in a world of privilege, while the rest of us have to do everything we can to do just survive. We do not believe you Lecce, your bullying tactics are pathetic and I dare you to live with the salary of $39,000 and raise a family.

He is lucky that they give the title of Honourable to anyone in parliament because his destruction of the public education system is anything but honourable. He has zero experience in the public school system and is not fit to do this job.
