Kars Boat Launch
Great place to launch. Free parking, solid dock and beach area. Creek Paddling great a bit overgrown late in season, or out on Rideau River, but lots of boats.

Not like other gravel boat ramps, this is asphalt and the car does not get stuck. The only downside is that the turning radius is small and is hard to back the boat onto the water

This spot is way too crowded. Last time we were here I counted 14 people casting off from the dock, and not a single boat being launched.

Small location but great place to launch. Only issue is that many fish from there and they don’t move over when you try to bring in your boat. Be prepared to just come in and have some individuals annoyed with you

If you are an expert at backing up boat trailers, it is a free launch. Unfortunately, there is no place to park nearby. You have to park at the Kars Community Center. You are better off launching at the Stevens Creek boat launch hidden away behind the Kars Community Center where there is more room to launch your boat and park your trailer. Just watch your head as you go under the bridge downstream to the Rideau river. I wouldn't launch a boat bigger than about 18.5' long at either launch. Bigger boats tend to go to Hurst Marina.
