Shrinkflation in full effect here!I've ordered Chinese Food from La Perle Restaurant approx every 6 weeks for the past 2 plus years. It was always my family's go to take out. The last time I ordered from here was 2 months ago. In reading the reviews it looks like ownership has changed, and I can definitely see the difference.Portions are now HALF the size they were when I last ordered making this every expensive take-out. Before I would spend $75 and feed a family of 6 with some left overs for the next day. Today I spent the same amount ($75), got the same dishes I usually get, and and could only feed 3.5 people. It was pathetic!I've attached photos so one can see the difference in their old containers and new ones. It's deceiving at first glace as their new containers have a see through lid, but the food it only filled half way up and not all the way to the top. Their old containers were filled 3/4.When I was finished eating I filled their new container with water, and poured it into their old container... I was able to fill two of their new containers into one of the old one (and that was only going half way up the old one), which means they are serving less than half the amount of food I used to get for the same price!The food tasted similar to before, but I did notice a difference in the sweet and sour pork (more fatty and hard to chew), and the deep fried shrimp was overcooked and burnt.I was told it would be ready in 20 mins, and it was ready in 40mins.I used to recommend this restaurant to everybody, but will no longer do so, and I will be seeking out a new place for Chinese Food.Not worth the money. You lost a loyal regular customer. Best of luck!

I've been working at La Perle for 4.5 years and both ownerships are amazing. The former had their clientele for over 40 years and many are disappointed that she's retired. We miss them too!However, the new ownership is just as amazing! As we go through some changes there are bound to be a few bumps. The menus are Chinese and Pub food. There's something for everyone! We now have live bands that have replaced karaoke, Dart night on Thursdays, Trivia every day and sports games on the big screen. Also, daily food and drink specials.Change can be hard for some people, but we see this as refreshing and the feedback has been incredible. I love the changes and the vision. We hope you'll join us!

I used to like coming here quite regularly, the chinese food use to be so good. However since the new owners took over the quality of food and service has gone down hill. I won't be spending my money here anymore.

The food was very bland. None/or same taste/flavour for all the dishes No sauce in any dishes. Hardly any protein in the dishes. Cold. Chowmein was burned. Vegetables were not fresh. Were hoping to have a great family day meal. Very disappointed. Will not order again.

Came here for the 1st time tonight for my good friends birthday party. The service was amazing. The bartender was very helpful with our decorations set up. The waitress was phenomenal. Full house working the floor alone. My drink wasn't empty once. The entertainment was very good as well. The food was good. The atmosphere was very welcoming. Thank you ladies for a great evening

It was my go to for inceadible chinese food ownership changed and so did the quality. I can tell the oil is old, the flavours are not as great. I really enjoyed the food before, i hope they can get it back. I will try again but only one more time as the cost will prohibit multiple attempts if the flavour and freshness returns then the cost is not an issue as it was awesome a few months ago

Awesome service from Carly and food was awesome! Price descent and if people want to complain about small portions make food at home! My son and I were so filled we have enough for at least 1 meal tomorrow! Definitely be back!
