This is the perfect small-town family run burger joint. Milkshakes are excellent, and the food is top-notch. Recommend the HP burger and fried mushrooms.

We stopped in on our way to Clareshom. Easy to get to off the highway. Friendly staff. Good food. Fair prices. Lots of parking and several picnic tables and benches.

You just can't beat burgers and fries from a tiny building owned and operated by a family that loves their town. Milkshakes are next level too. Do yourself a favor and don't sleep on a visit to this place. You won't regret it!!!

Hitchin Post Drive-In
Usually when you road trip through a small towns people want to stop at Tom Hortons or Wendy’s because you know what you’re getting. You don’t want to take a risk on a small local place and be disappointed. But sometimes when you take the chance it could also be like the Hitchin Post where they have the best onion rings I’ve ever eaten and milkshakes so thick they collapse the straw. Highly recommend.

LOVE their milkshakes, best around by far! We get the chicken dinner and it’s always delicious! Sometimes a bit of a wait, but that’s part of the outing. Great place to take the family for treat.

Better than Peter's by a LONG SHOT. The Kokomint milkshake and deep fried mushrooms are worth the trip!!

The stories of some of the best milkshakes in Alberta are absolutely true. The burger was good; thin but good quality patty, fresh bun and add-ons, and the fries were homestyle and good quality. The gravy was awesome, the beef actually tasted like beef! Very friendly and efficient staff, takes both card and cash, and the view of the mountains cannot be beat!

A great place to get burgers and fries. Excellent onion rings. Order ahead by phone, will be faster.
