Root Radical CSA has been providing our family with high quality organic veggies for as long as I can remember. She offers lots of variety, different pick up days/locations, ideas on using and storing veggies, recipes and seedlings in the spring. Much gratitude for all her hard work and dedication in providing food for our family!

A marvellous local solution for fresh, healthy, organic vegetables. I love getting my share every week. I often don’t manage to eat it all in a week, but I’m getting good at freezing, dehydrating, and canning vegetables. Oh, and for those of us who enjoy gardening, the CSA offers a fantastic plant sale every year, so we can compliment our share with veggies we grow ourselves.

The only organic CSA that specifically has a sliding scale option to accommodate a range of incomes AND sets aside shares to donate to households in need.Not sure what to do with a certain veggie? They have a curated recipe library with tips on cooking, prepping, AND long term storage of ingredients!We've been eating these veggies for over ten years and love being a part of this community-minded model.

I cannot say enough good things about Root Radical CSA Farm. Our family has been part of this CSA for 15 years and in fact our own kids developed a love of farming and have worked on organic farms themselves. I'm sure that Root Radical laid the foundation for why it is important to eat food less travelled, support local farmers and even grow our own organic vegetables. We have had a full share for a family of five and find the amounts of veggies are ample. We receive storage items for the fall and winter and make food for our freezer, so we can have the taste of summer in the dead of winter. The recipes, newsletters and work bees are great ways of feeling a part of our CSA. We love having one stop per week to pick up the great variety of veggies that are so fresh and tasty, lasting far longer than ones bought in the store. We also love that we can grow our own food by purchasing the seedlings that Emily offers for sale in the spring with lots of tips on how to start your own garden. If you are thinking about being a part of a CSA, look no further than Root Radical. This wonderful CSA has literally fed our family's body, mind and soul! Local fresh organic veggies rule!!!

We've been members of the CSA for several years now and still value the organic vegetables and the integrity of the farmers greatly. They are always thinking about the wellbeing of the plants, the land they grow on, the people who work it and of those so receive the veggies. The food is SO FRESH! There is a members-only archive of great recipes if you're stumped on how to use any of the veg as well as information on how to optimally store them so they last longer, and a Facebook group to trade ideas, recipes and ask questions. They also have forged and maintained relationships with other farmers and chefs and we can often order additional items to be included in our weekly pickup. Couldn't recommend them more highly!

I have signed up for a share from Emily and Root Radical every year for over a decade now. The food is organic, high quality, and the amount is generous. Root Radical is wonderful in their communication - you get a really solid sense of the day-to-day successes and trials of farming, and it makes you appreciate the significant care and effort that goes into growing the produce. A CSA is a great way to invest in local, independent farmers, and to learn to cook with seasonal ingredients Spring - Fall.

I have been a member of the Root Radical CSA for almost a decade. The produce is always amazing, Emily and Aric are lovely, extremely hardworking people who are truly committed to sustainable farming and the environment. I love going to my pickups to say hello. I highly recommend this CSA for your veggie needs. Also one of the longer running CSAs in that you receive vegetables for fully half the year (Mayish - November)

My kiddos have grown up on Farmer Emily's vegetables - we've had a CSA with Root Radical for years and years. I love getting a big box of fresh veggies every week all through the growing season and I love eating what is most fresh. The veggies are always of the highest quality, and I love the recipes and resources that are shared with members, as well as the seedlings we get from RR for our garden. My kids are excited about vegetables, and I honestly think it's because of our Root Radical CSA. I like Root Radical's transparency, dedication, and responsiveness, and their commitment to responsible land stewardship and community care. Sorry for rambling - I'm a big fan, clearly.

Our family has been part of the Root Radical community for over 10 years and we highly recommend Emily and her team to anyone looking for super fresh, tasty and locally grown produce! The weekly pick up is very convenient and there are lots of resources available to the Root Radical community about cooking and storing each weeks order. This has made it easy and fun to incorporate new foods into our weekly food routine! Excited for the coming year.

We have been getting our veggies from Emily and the team at Root Radical for about 10 years now, and it is truly one of the best things of our spring/summer/fall. The veggies are the best I have ever tasted -- they are a real change from the flavourless grocery store options-- and we always snack on them on the way home from pick ups.
