I’m honestly very disappointed. I was having a super stressful morning as I had exams. I was quickly trying to go grab food for my kittens and my dog and I arrive to the store a couple of minutes after 9. The store was closed. I thought maybe I got the times wrong but no. I was about to leave but the worker finally arrive at around 9:07. She went in and I waited a minute before I went in. She had to put the money back in the till and open it. On top of that the store was ridiculously messy. I’ve worked at multiple pet stores including pet valu and have opened the store and I know we are supposed to arrive well ahead of time to ensure a clean proper opening. Also cat cage looked extremely neglected. Very disappointed as a cat owner.

Diljinder, the store Manager, was extremely reasonable when permitting me to exchange a dog toy that I had opened and used the previous day. It was my error in that I did not check my receipt but Diljinder accepted my explanation and was more than fair in how she accommodated my request.

The groomer, Cassandra McMurdo, did a great job on my nervous Yorkie mix. She didn't even squirm getting her nails clipped. So glad we found her! Thank you.

The people there are nice, but I totally wasted my time and extra gas this morning. Google says the location opens at 9am (as with the other Guelph locations). I waited until almost ten minutes after 9 before calling the store on Paisley, then driving there. I'm happy that the other location was prepared and open. It's not the first time this location hasn't opened on time.

Had a really good experience, EVERY staff member was super nice, one helped me pick out some different toys for my dog (which is absolutely loved), one gave my dog lots of treats for which she was super grateful. And one of their employees helped me with finding a brush and to wash her. I struggled to give her a proper wash as she really doesn’t like the water but she helped me get her in and I’m super grateful. I’ve never had a bad experience there and will for sure be going back ❤️

Various types of products for pets. I have always found what I've been looking for.

Used to be a great place before, the new owner has bad attitude, extremely unprofessional treats the employees and customers horribly.Came to return an online order, the owner lady was frustrated from the beginning and kept saying to her employee how pet valu should make customers return online order by shipping back only. The employee infact had more sense and said the idea is to make it easy for everyone, to that the owner responded, it is easy for the customer not for us( wow, she wants to run a business which this mentality?).She made me wait over 20( I think it was 30 mins but giving her benefit of the doubt) mins while talking to help line and continuously complaning and stating to them how she wont take another online return back to her store. Towards the end she tells me to go take it to another place, at that moment I snapped, and her response was I am trying to help you". Lol- some Body train her how to run a business let alone a franchise in Canada.She could have override it long ago

Have received and continue to receive excellent assistance from store staff, whether it's for food, harnesses, dog clothing, toys, they have been generous with their time and expertise.As well, today, I was a first time user of their grooming services. I have an anxious border collie who has never been to a groomer and is new to city life. The groomer was excellent with her and helped me with some issues I have been having regarding the salt that’s affecting her paws. Definitely will be a return customer.

Diljinder was so helpful and kind to me, she helped me return some expensive cat food as my cat had an allergic reaction. I am very grateful for the assistance and effort she put into helping me.

Welcoming, friendly environment with helpful staff and decent pricing.I've been in a few times over the last several months to get a variety of different things from digestive aids to odour-killer spray for my 15yo dog and I almost always walk out with exactly what I came in for. If I can't find something at first, the staff are always very helpful and knowledgable when it comes to making the right decision on a product. They're now my go-to for pet products over bigger competitors like PetSmart.
